Yet again he was quite low this morning so i didn't shoot him. I'm gone all day and then have a school meeting all evening. so, i'm not taking the chance- especially since he's been going so low during the day with comparable (or higher) AMPS.

i crashed so hard lastnight from being up with him the night before. I wanted to get a +3 reading lastnight but never made it. i woke up this morning and immediately ran downstairs to see if he was ok. these low numbers are starting to take a toll on me! i'm so worried about him all the time. it's crazy because i used to worry at the other end of the scale!

Re: 5/30 Timber AMBG 82

I'm sorry things have been so stressful lately with the low numbers. Will Timber eat if you leave food out and he goes low? That helps me feel better leaving Furball during the day and be able to sleep at night when I have to go to work the next day. I know she'll eat if I leave extra food out. It is hard to learn to juggle everything, but you're doing a great job with Timber. I hope you come home to a nice number this evening.

thanks! he's kind of hit and miss. he normally eats good during the day, but on odd days (like today) they only ate about half of their food. and Timber always eats more than Giz. so, that would still stress me out! do you shoot when they test so low and you know you'll be gone all day??

I have not had very many low green numbers. But I have shot some lower numbers. Tonight Furball was 61 when I got home from work and 92 at PMPS. I shot because it looked like she was going to keep going up and I know I can leave some extra food out and she'll eat it. The more data you can get, the more you can learn Timber's patterns and feel more comfortable shooting lower numbers. It is still scary at times, but I know I need to shoot low numbers to help Furball. I'm not saying you should shoot low numbers just because I have. You need to make sure you are comfortable doing that. The weekend is a good time (if you don't work on the weekends) to try things like that out. Then you can see what Timber does and be there if you need to give him more food. It is a learning process and takes time. Don't force yourself to until you are comfortable doing it.

Timber is making good use of his juice. :-D Great for him but nerve wracking for the bean. nailbite_smile Great job, Maria!
