Good morning LL! It's been awhile since I posted. We have had some family health issues that we are trying to get through but know that we are thinking about all of you.

Tarragon is doing well. Getting older but still getting around and loving his snuggles. The warmer weather has been a nice break on his asthma and allowed us to go to every other day with the prednisolone. His BG's have been good in the low 100's with no surprises. I haven't had a chance to update his spreadsheet in awhile but am going to try to get to it this week.

Hope all is well!

It's good to see an update from you. I'm glad Tarragon is doing well. I hope the family health issues get resolved soon. Sending prayers.

Charlie is doing ok. He turned 13 a couple of months ago so he is slowing down a lot. He got in the pool the other day and had a hard time getting back out so I guess swimming is done for him.
Have you looked into adequan if arthritis is his problem? It really helped our GA civvie Mario so much, and we started Trix on it about 2 months...she's still quite arthritic, but I do see a big difference in her movement and ability to get on the couch. I just wish we started it sooner for her. It really is amazing, if arthritis is the problem.

Love a good Tarragon report and happy he's catching a break from the asthma. Give him extra scritches and sending lots of prayers for your family.

We haven't went that route yet. He is on meloxicam every day. I know it is arthritis since he had both knees replaced years ago and has hip dysplasia. I may call the vet and talk to them about adequan.

I would definitely look into adequan - it really is amazing stuff. It's not really pain med, but rather it helps rebuild and cushion the damaged joints. It doesn't work in all cases, but it seems to work in most.

Hi Melissa,
How nice to see a Tarragon report. I'm glad that Mr. T. is doing well and has his asthma under control. Sorry to hear about your family health issues and hope that all will be OK.
Hugs for you, scritches for T, and pats (for Charlie).
