We made the trip back to Chicago OK on Monday. The trip was a bit longer than usual due to Holiday traffic, but otherwise OK.
My plan was to beat the traffic by leaving early, but civvie Ella had other plans. Once she figured out it was a travel day, she hid from me. It took about 1 hour longer than it should have to get everyone loaded up and hit the road.
The civvies have always been excellent travelers - they all just sleep in one large kennel so I don't know what all the fuss is about.
The road trip didn't do anything to improve my mood - still very sad.
