5/30 Brutus amps 217 +7 49 what's this about?

Not sure where this rogue yellow number came from, but he is still coming down good on the .25.Does anyone know is it unusual for a cat to throw a high number in this phase? He did eat his regular lc food more often last nite and early this morning because we left it out, when I went to bed.

I would rule out two things: Did Brutus find some HC piece of something that he scarfed down or was it a meter glitch? My meter gave me a suspicious number a couple of days ago and I didn't think to re-test immediately. Given Brutus' numbers up to that AMPS and his +4, it's possible that your meter hiccuped. If it happens again, I'd re-test immediately. (It you're using your old meter, you might want to change the batteries, just in case.) Of course, there are beans here who have noted that their cats will eat anything high carb - bagels, cupcakes, baked potatoes, chips, etc.

Have never seen him eat any high carb human food other than cat food.Never thought about a meter hiccup, our meter is new just a couple of months old.I suppose he could have licked some dried hc gravy on a plate that was left out.Thanks for your thoughts, hopefully its a one time thing.His amps is almost always higher than pmps, maybe just him.
 
+7 ~49 What a swing today! should I stay with the .25 ? Mabe the 217 this morning was a bounce from something lower last nite? I quit testing at plus 6 last nite.
