Thank you for all the wonderful visits yesterday, everyone! It is still nerve-wracking for my Dad to be on a chemo break for so long, but this doctor - whom we did also see last summer - was so positive and confident that I'm sure it will be fine. As Sienne, these oncs tend to NOT be optimistic (even though a little optimism can go a LONG way), so I don't think she'd go out a limb like that unless she was being genuinely sincere. Our local onc, although generally pretty kind with an OK bedside manner, doesn't seem to believe in optimism. My Dad was actually doing pretty well with the platinum drug other than that blasted neuropathy that has no remedy other than discontinuing the drug.
Anyway, all is well with Trix today. Her happy is fairly happy - I certainly got a very a vocal and animated fuds dance this morning, and she is totally being Trixie. I think I'm doing a good/better job of staying calm and remembering that we all have natural fluctuations in how much we want to eat in a given day, and as long as she's being spunky and bright-eyed, I have no reason to believe it's anything other than a normal fluctuation. She IS eating well - but of course I always want more, more, more!!!
I'm at work now, so it's time to get working....have a great day, L&LL!
