Last night went well enough with Otto the auto feeder I decided to try it out today while I'm at work. If he find and eats all of his mini meals he will be getting double his usual amount of food in the AM, but I want to be sure he isn't underfed this cycle by missing a meal!

Here's the plan for today (all amounts are relative to a 5.5oz can Special Kitty):
+PS: gets 1/4 can from me
+1: gets 1/4 can from Otto (but while I was still home to I know he eats this much before I leave)
+2: gets 1/4 can from Otto
+4: gets 1/4 can from Otto

Then I do the same tonight. I'm sure I will be adjusting the amounts, intervals, # of meals over the next few weeks, but its a start!

Good luck with Otto! I hope Sweetie and Otto get along great today. It seems like a good idea to have extra food in Otto just in case Sweetie misses an opening. I'm sure you'll get him all programed according to Sweeties likes over the next little bit. Take care, have a good day and sending good Otto vines to you.

So far so good with Otto - all of the bowls were empty when I got home from work anyway (and the civie was outside all day). Got his evening shot done and set up the next round of mini meals. I suppose I should expect some higher numbers since I'm feeding him a little more in the AM cycle to match his evening amount, and spreading out his food between PS and +4.5, but hopefully he will have flatter curves.

Probably will need another dosecrease on Sunday after 6 cycles on 1.25u if all goes according to my plan . . .
