Hello! C'mon Moses! It's rainy here, and I think Moses wants it sunny. Maybe that's why he's yellow! C'mon Moses, more blue!
In fact, I got on earlier to post, but I saw Moses in a really feisty mood so I tore off after him (versus post) and chased him around. It was so fun! He was mreowing and romping, pretending to be spooked and pouncing with those front paws spread. He's so cute.
And get this, a first for Moses! The gate that separates him from the nutty tabby downstairs (see photos) drives Moses crazy. It's at the top of the stairs (we live up there together) and he'll get his paws on the top and peer just the tip of his nose over. Or he'll get the paws on top and shake the gate really heard and meow at the top of his lungs at the same time, to get attention. He especially enjoys doing this when he hears me sit down at the piano and play. Anyways... today we were running and it was fun. Then I went downstairs, in which Moses did the gate slam and mreaow. When I came up, I was just on the other side of the gate, whispering his name. And today! When I popped my head over the gate, he popped his paw on the side of my face!!! Of course it was a soft little paw, but he's not a bopper! And he bopped me and tore off down the hall. He's been watching nutty Ellie downstairs, way to much. And of course I chased him. lol
Okay!
Now for serious stuff.
I made a mistake yesterday
I was so tired. Moses ended up dropping at his +4 and I just fed him some gravy, w/no further testing. Which I know it super bad! I'm totally sorry. I saw your reply about coffee, Sienne & Gabby, and I apologize about not replying back. All is okay, but still, I'll try no to do that again. I was so sleepy and wasn't thinking straight.
I really appreciate everyone's comments yesterday. Thank you Missy & Little Gray, for that yahoo group for feline heart disease. I will definitely check it out. And I was so encouraged by your note, Nicole & Baby, thank you very much.
As for Moses medical update: I spoke with the diagnosis clinic today and we definitely all agree (Dr. Brewer included) that the ECG (Echocardiogram) is the best option for Moses, to see what's going on with his heart. It's very very expensive. I'm especially pleased that this test only requires Moses to lay on his side and they rub a soft probe over his chest. A $10,000 probe, is what he said, lol. We have a tentative appointment for Wednesday morning.
I'm swaying as what I want to do. The biggest part of me says to choose the ECG and take it day by day w/Moses. Just b/c I get the ECG does not mean we have to get surgery, it's just another piece of the puzzle so we can understand Moses better. The other part of me says to leave him alone. Let him enjoy his life. Vet/heart stress free.
Thinking about "the worst" for the future doesn't really get me anywhere b/c I'm really creative and that could go on forever about just about anything and everything. But to understand Moses better is a plus. We'll see. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers cat_pet_icon
