Morning!! Worked till real late last night, so didnt get back here--Moonie is doing great, gave me a lovely Hairball this am(no I didnt step in it) :lol: Off to tbp today--Glad to go to keep busy as :
My Darling Boy Copper went to the Bridge 1 year ago today--I wrote this for him I am crying already-He deserves it:
You came so softly into our lives, & filled us with Joy and Love.
We had so many Happy Years, Until our time was done.
I never even knew you were sick, You never made a peep.
You left me Oh so suddenly,It cut our Hearts so Deep!
Today I wish to tell you, How much you meant to me.
I know you are still around us, even though we cannot see.
So Thank you for the years you gave, The Love, the sweetness, the Heart..
We are Bonded together Forever, Together Yet Apart.
Love you Ka Boy always.

Sorry if this makes you sad--I know everyone here relates..These are my first cats, & what a gift..
Thanks for all of you that have always been here for me..It means a lot. Couldnt have lived through his passing without you! And your support everuday means so much to me! Hugs & Love from us! I really mean it!

Moonie is again in sync with little Maggie. Thest two girls are conniving, hopefully for more greens together. :-D

(((Roni))) Your tribute to Copper is beautiful! I know what a special boy kitty he was to you, and your words show every emotion of it. You write so beautifully, too! I so understand what you mean as they are truly a Gift. He is all around you. I remember as if it were yesterday all the feathers Copper sent you letting you know he was near and okay. Lots of hugs and love to you today.

This is very touching. Yes I can relate to that feeling of loss.
Buddist believes that our pased over pets will linger around us as long as we missed them & wanted them to stay with us. They just exsist in another form. Until one fine day, when we are ready to let go, then they will move on.
Dont feel sad Ann, Copper is now free of all illness & limitations to that physical body.

Good Morning, Roni. I'm so sorry for your sadness. That is a very lovely tribute to your precious Copper.

Miss Moonie is giving mamabean a nice start to your day. :-D She'll be off to the lagoon, but hopefully not too quickly. :-D

Moonie is coming down nicely! Keeping her eating lc & couple of temptations-Got to go to tbp later..will be here till her +6 :mrgreen:

It is so hard to lose our babies. The poem is a beautiful tribute to your bond with Copper. Hugs to you, Roni.

Dear Roni,
Your beautiful poem brought tears to my eyes. I know that today is a tough one for you, but your boy Copper is with you, basking in your love. Give Moonie some extra scritches today. She misses him too.

Moonie: lookin' good. Rusty will pick you up later to go to Mocha's house party and then to Ruby's OTJ party. Wear your green outfit!

What a beautiful poem....you are so talented! I love your poems and thank you for sharing them with us all. Of course, it was sad.... and tearing are flowing for you and for Copper.....
I know that you guys were Doggie people before those two little homeless kitties parked themselves outside in your yard.
How sweet and good of you two to bring them in and care for them.....many beautiful years together.
My heart goes out to you today as you mark the anniversary of Copper's passing.....so hard to believe, isn't it?
And yet, he is with you each day......his spirit will always be near to you.
Celebrating the love you shared...celebrating your years together.....

Hi Roni -

Every once in a while I pop on here, and today I saw your note about Copper. I had forgotten that you lost Copper right after I lost Emma. Sunday was one year ago we said goodbye. I know how it is - I still feel sad that she's gone. But at the same time I have two little ones to love that I wouldn't have been able to take in if she were still with me. She only liked dogs, crazy kitty that she was. Polly and Esther have been so much fun to have around. I love watching them chase each other, and run and jump and play all over the place. It's just joyful :)

I hope it's gotten easier for you over the past year. And I'm sure Moonie's taking good care of you!

What a beautiful tribute to dear Copper! They knew when they came to you that they would be so loved and well cared for. We will always miss our GAs as the take a small piece of our hearts with them when they leave. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: Tears here too.

What a beautiful poem, Roni, and thanks to CD for posting the photos of Copper. We remember our babies every day, but especially on anniversaries. I am keeping you in my thoughts as you celebrate Copper's life and memory today.

Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts for us today...It was a hard day, but we can never forget those we love..Our darling kitties..Thanks for the Love & comfort!

Moonie did well today & was happy..Had a good afternoon & I could tell she felt well. My friend & her DD came over for dinner, and they were a delight..Her DD is 6 & Moonie likes her, even lets her pet her :o
Which is miraculous for Moonie :lol: :lol: :lol: --She used to greet & flirt with everyone, but since her dx & for a while she was cautious about people touching her..But this child she really likes!

I can't believe it has been a year since your sweet Copper passed. What a beautiful poem you wrote. Such sadness when we lose our precious babies, but the love we share with them, no matter how short of time, is worth everything in the world. Big hugs to you and Moonie today.

It is so hard to believe it has been a year and I know your heart aches. What a lovely, lovely tribute to your sweet boy. What an amazing life he had to be so loved by you. Many hugs and much love to you today, my friend, as you reflect upon all the joy he brought you.

The evening was better than the afternoon, but I am glad it is almost tomorrow..

Roni, I'm so sorry I missed your condo today, (actually didn't do any till now). I was not here on the board when Copper was here, but the poem brought tears to my eyes. It's so very hard to say goodbye to our kitty kids, they are our babies, just like children in every way.

Moonie is doing well today, actually I guess this would be yesterday, so I will just wish sweet dreams for you and for Miss Moonie tonight.

Hi Roni,

I'm sorry today is such a sad day for you. Your tribute to Copper is beautiful and so was he. It's such a terrible thing to lose one of our babies. It just makes us feel so inconsolable & that it's so unfair that they can't have longer lives. They live on in our hearts forever though . I guess they're just too precious to be here too long. I hope you can spend the day thinking of the good times you had with him rather than being sad.

Moonie is having a wonderful day today! Go Moonie! Green and blue are the colors of the day. :razz:
