Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) HAPPY FRIDAY!!!! hmmmmm.... Been thinking about that blackberry thing Mannie used to make, I think it had apple and mocha and all kinds of unreal things in it. Sounds mighty fine to me. I might have to have two! Elsa, you really need to get on board with this barista thing.... she's busy dinging around with ice cream float thing, lots of fudge too. the girl does love her ice cream....

Yesterday Nicholas and I spent the day on the river. AWESOME time. We had sun, and blue skies and warm, all near an incredibly beautiful river. With the snows starting to melt some on the mountains this river was so high and fast and full of energy. It was just the best. We spent almost the entire day there, walking from one end to the other, as far as we could get. We played in the sand, waded in the river, threw countless rocks and sticks, watched for any sign of trains on a very old still used elevated track over the river. Lunch was had on a boulder at rivers edge, as we watched the river move on by. We were fortunate enough to be able to watch an osprey fish that river. He made his aerial circles and then the fast dive into the river to catch his fish. Incredible sight, all just a mere 20 feet in front of us. Nicholas was so excited, and I so hope he will remember this. What a great day. I am one lucky person.... Picassa link to the photos and videos: Skyomish River

There was a very interesting and good discussion the Board yesterday. I hope we all will take time to read it, as it does really pertain to us all. I am sorry that someone failed to get needed help here, and hope maybe we can find ways to better what we do here, and help those that are new to LL. If you haven't read it, take time to look it over. In Joan Rivers' words, "Can we talk?"

I hope everyone has a great day. Nicholas and I are off to the pool today, and then not too sure what. Our weather is so so nice! Sunny, warm at about 70 today, and just perfect. I so hope we make it outdoors too. :-D :-D Think blue, think green kitties!

Kitties! Have fun in NYC! Mannie is right there with you.

Wow on the osprey!
Just think of the appreciation Nicholas is going to have of nature as he grows up ~ you are giving him such a wonderful and important gift, Michelle.

Please give Elsa scritches from us ~ and we are very ok with her ice cream creations. MMMMMMM!

PS: Patty nailed it in Champ's condo yesterday when she was describing Mannie and how you made it feel like he was a tangible part of our lives, too ~ right down to knowing how his fur felt. So true, ((Michelle)). So true.

Good Morning Michelle,

Still love visting your condo`s. I love reading about the adventures you and Nicholas have. Have a great day.

Terri

Morning Michelle, tell Elsa I think I could get used to her special coffee ice cream drinks. ~O) ~O) What great pics of Nicholas, and I must go back and watch the videos when I have a good cup of coffee. I also couldn't agree more with what Patty & Champ said on how you've shared Mannie with all of us and he's like our own and your sharing of DGS and the adventures, too. Patty has a wonderful way of expressing what she feels. My thoughts come out in words all jumbled up. He really is getting so many experiences with you. Have a great swim in the morning and river adventure this afternoon. I'm so glad you have a great weather day. Hugs and scritches to Elsa.

Hi Michelle, and Nicholas, and Elsa!!! ~O) ~O)
Elsa, my dear..... those chocolately, ice cream floats are A-OK with me!!! You go girl!!

I've had such fun looking back through all your photos i missed while we were traveling. I laughed so hard i cried watching Nicholas - "make wind!" i wanted to run over and open the window just to have some of the fun you two were having. I know you can do anything, but drive, camera, window? How many arms do you have? Yesterday at the river looks like great fun. What's with the sand in Gram's lap? He's sooo cute!

Have great fun today. hugs and scritches to you all.
scritches across forever to our beloved Mannie.
xoxo mary and ollie

Howdy everyone! Nicholas and I have just returned from the pool. Another day of water logged bodies, wrinkles prune fingers, and straw hair, and chlorine in our pores....   What fun it was. Another 2.5 hours of water fun. I don't think he missed one aspect of that pool, yet again. I am in awe still of his ability in, and love of, underwater. Silly kid can do maybe 10/15 feet before he pops up. Crazy stuff, but I love it. We went and walked a small trail system that is next to the pool after round one of lunch. He just had to be out there, looking for what he calls his jungle.   Jungle = a few areas under the tree canopies. Mega fun for us, and Bear. After that back for more lunch. NOM NOM NOM = peanut butter overloaded with jelly....   no dummie there! I will post the photos in tomorrow's LLIips.

HI Josie - oh yes on that osprey - it was just the coolest thing to watch! And many thx, as I so hoe so for Nicholas. He remembers these places now, so we are well n our way. :-D Will do with Elsa, and she will be glad to know that her creations are appreciated! I keep saying coffee, she says no..... ice cream! silly girl. THX too for mentioning Champs condo. I need to read it, I didn't get to many yesterday, always happens when I have Nicholas... just no time. And I thank you for what you wrote... that is a feel good comment for me.

Hi Terri - Many thanks.... I cannot thank you enough for still visiting. It is truly appreciated!

Hi Ann - I will tell Elsa! She thinks they are mega good too. Always the queen of the ice cream scoop. Thank you too for all you wrote. You guys rally are the best. Thx too on the pics - it was such a great day yesterday for nicholas. I/we could not have had abetter today. Today we swam, also a ton of fun. I so rnjoy the time with him. he knows how to keep all in perspective! I will make sure Elsa gets those scritches! :-D

Hi Mary - I hope you made your trip home safely. :-D LOL on Elsa... she does love that stuff. I will make sure she knows that her line of tasty AM beverages are being met with approval. Oh too funny on the MAKE WIND video. It just a hoot when we do this. I laugh all the way on the freeway. It is just the best basic simple fun. oh well on the making of that video. We were on the straight part of the freeway, it too a quick flip of the window switch and a quick knee action to hold the wheel... LOL! - just don't tell his mom! I dunno on the sand in grams lap - he just started doing that, and well I didn't stop him.... he thought I should be as dirty as he was I guess.  Thx too for the Mannie scritches. I shall so my best to make sure he gets them.

Hi Liz - Thank you for that! I will play it for Nicholas, so he can remember what he saw yesterday. It was so cool, and not something one gets to see for real in person. I would be great if he could remember.

That's so neat on the osprey. It sounds like you both had a great time. It sounds like Nicholas had another great day at the pool today. I don't think he will ever get tired of going to the pool.

HI Carla - thanks on all. That osprey was the coolest ting! and ya know, I too do not think he will ever tire of going to that pool. and yes on both counts - we had a grand time. so much fun!

Awesome pics, as usual! Nicholas is getting so big...looking so much like a young man now :-D ! He's so lucky to had a DGMa who takes him on all these cool adventures, rather than plopping him in front of the TV with endless videos!

Ice cream is awesome, but it would fabulous if Elsa became the new LL barista. Please, Elsa...we tip well ;-) !

Have a great evening, Michelle!!

hi Michelle that was a most interesting discussion yesterday thanks for drawing it ti our attention. perhaps someone could pm the link to the new member. perhaps if she sees the dilemma she may feel comfortable returning...

Hi Amy - many thanks. Yesterday was such a great day with him. He loves it out in the "wilderness" as much as I do. We had such a great time. And yes - he is isn't he: getting big, quite the young man. and I could not agree more on the swindles videos thing.... YUPP!: I am working on Elsa.... maybe she will take on the job! WE NEED A BARISTA!

Hi Serryn - It is so great to hear from you! I thought it was too. I need to post there, just haven't had time to think on how to do it justice. It would be good to send the link to her/him. I would, but don't know who it is...

Yay for the cool day on the river, especially the thrill of seeing thr osprey fishing. Yay on another great day in the pool. Yay on Elsa learning the barista trade.
Have a great weekend, Michelle. I'm looking forward to seeing your pics when we get home.
Thanks for your visits to Mannie Week in the CITY!

Hugs from us,

Ella & Rusty

I've missed a couple of days, lots of great adventures w/ Nicholas. How cool on the osprey! It is so unusual for kids to get so many early adventures anymore. Parents are too busy or too scared to let them out to play!

I'm so glad you have been enjoying the Mannie was her plaques, they've been fun to do , but I was afraid I was getting a little carried away. Here's one last special one for you! :YMHUG: :YMHUG: From me ( as well as Tess, she says it was her idea!)

Morning Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) Yupp, Nicholas and I have had quite the past couple of days. The river day was awesome. it's so great to see him respond to it all the way he does. I so agree on kids today, so many parents etc just don't/won't let them get out and just be kids. Alot of fear out there these days.

I have loved the Mannie Plaques. It has really been feel good moments for me. nah on the little carried away... I thought it was great. I think others did too. I love this last one. How wonderful and blubber blubber, blow nose! :-D :-D Sheshhhh I miss him. He was such a large part of my life. There are days when it is hard to believe he's gone. The memories are so great though. Love the thought that I can remember when.. anytime I want.
