5/3 Gordy AMPS 258, +2.5=248 | PMPS 209 *started Methimazole*

Good luck! Did you start with 1.25mg per dose? Most vets do 2.5mg BID and that's too much. Tanner started with that and wasn't doing well 2 weeks later before I cut the doses in half.

ETA: I just saw your post yesterday. Do join that group if you can. They are awesome people! I'm still a member, but I don't participate nowadays.

I can't remember what dose, so I'll check when I get home.

Haven't joined the group yet but I will be!

@Mandy & Rex they started him on 5mg :eek::eek::eek::eek: i think it must be because of how "high" the numbers are. I've requested the results myself so I'll post when I get it.

I do have instructions that if he starts vomiting, to cut the dose in half for a few days.

He is in a good mood tonight. I got some brushing done on him and he got a new catnip toy that seems to be a hit! :cat:
 
Hope the methimazole gets Gordy’s thyroid numbers down quickly. Glad he’s feeling good and enjoying his new toy!
