Good Morning LL! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) Thank you Elsa! And especially for the extra delivery yesterday! It was indeed needed! We never saw that drop coming when she was so high yesterday. We'll check earlier today! The enchantment is wearing off the raw lamb and she'll really only eat one meal of it. I think we just need to vary things a bit more. I had hoped to be able to try the venison again. There is a feed store near my friend's house that carries NV, but they no longer carried the venison. :sad: I might be able to find it in SB on Saturday though. I thk we just need to vary things a bit more.

It was really nice to get away into the country. Only a few of our ceramics group showed up, but it was a nice relaxing afternoon. Unfortunately I can't say the same for John! :? He gets to go down to LA for a model RR show in a week though.

WCR All 5 Ps, almost Clean Plate Club, Vines to all the kittehs in need of them and hugs to all their beans.

Looks like Ms. Tess decided to give you the nasty bounce eh. Don't you just hate them! I hope that she comes down for you...but not quite so fast!

Hi Ann,

I'm so glad you had a great day with your ceramic friends and lucky that DH was on PCPCPC duty. Tess is a very lucky kitty to have such conscientious, devoted caregivers. I'll say like one of the vet techs at our clinic, "If I die and come back as a kitty, I want to come back as your cat". flip_cat

Good luck with Tess' diet, it sounds like you have tried just about everything. I've noticed that Pixie seems to do better when I vary his protein choice.

Thought we'd better get an earlier test today after her stunt yesterday, obviously no dropping this morning. :roll:

Hi Anne, Tess is early stage CKD, as I think Pixie is too, so food choices are very limited. Then we have to take into consideration what she will eat and no beef, which she loves, but barfs up every time! ohmygod_smile I think John mentioned yesterday that I have a list on a tab on Tess's SS with foods from Dr. Lisa's list that are under 105 carbs and for mg Phos per 100 kcal., around 200 or less. There is also another tab for Wild Calling! which is a newer food and wasn't on the list.

The highest calorie canned food that is both LC and low Phos I've found is Wild Calling! Chicken at 44kcal/oz and as others have mentioned most of the Wellness grain free pates are 40 kcal/oz. Unless you want to go with raw food. Nature's Variety raw is 65 kcal/oz and most of them are very low carb and low phos.

Thanks Ann - I was just looking at some of your tabs on Tessa's spreadsheet. Tell John, my instincts weren't wrong, you guys are super organized. Whoever is creating these spreadsheets is doing a great job highlighting key information. What a treasure trove of information.

I'm going to see if we have Wild Calling and Wellness at my local pet shop - it's certainly worth seeing if Pixie will eat it. I may have better luck with the Wellness because he seems to prefer the pates. Wish me luck, Ann.
