So I think Pika is showing signs of remission possibly. I expected his sugars to be close to 400+ this morning. And they were only like 230 and I only gave him .25 (BCS) last night because I was 2 hours late (family dinner went long) and didn’t want to screw up todays dosing! At 8 am.. But I know he needed his insulin.. so at 88 on AT (57 on freestyle) I gave the BCS. And he was fine!! His sugars didn’t go crazy like the day I missed his shot!! I’m in total disbelief! And I know once again I gave a full .5 reduction. But with what he has been doing Im pretty sure I would be reducing anyway. It seems every day is a reduction. And since I cannot monitor him again today after +1 (I leave for work at 9am)

but go Pika!! I feel really bad for his hips. When he walks you can hear a click. I know he has hip issues due to how he has always straddled me and likes to be held like a baby with his hips/legs open on the hip. We always tried to correct it but he kept doing it. We haven’t held him like that in a while due to seeing his gait change. (Before diabetes) but since the diabetes and neuropathy it’s gotten worse…. We don’t quite know what is wrong other than he doesn’t like it when the vet has tried examined it and we keep being told to stay mindful of it. And we are we just don’t know what it is. Can cats get hip dysplasia?

But I’ll get a +1 before I leave to know if I need HC to keep him up. I’ll keep my ss up to date. Have a wonderful day/night depending on where you are!
