Ming is so bouncy :arghh: I am always tempted to increase and then Ming "dives" and of course, he bounces. When will the cycle end???

Off topic: In my last post, I asked if anyone has experienced vertigo before. I went to my doctor and he said (without examining my ear and just going off of what I explained) I have BPPV. Something about my ear tubes being plugged and I have to do the Epley maneuver to dislodge it. He gave me some anti-vertigo medication too.

I have yet to do the maneuver because I saw a YouTube video where the doctor advised that it shouldn't be done unless a doctor is present :rolleyes: But I'll do it with my mom supervising later today after my night shift. The doctor in the video said people may vomit until they do it correctly. :eek:

The whole time I kept getting episodes of vertigo, I wondered if this is how cats feel when they have pancreatitis/vomiting episodes? It suuuuuuucks! Where's my cerenia??

My previous family doctor retired and he took care of me since I was baby. He was really nice, took the time to talk to us, and I always left feeling like I got the best care. But now... I feel like the doctors at the new clinic just want me out the door the second I walk in. And they talk to their computer screen. They didn't even check my ear... My friends said to go to the ER for serious issues because the doctors have experience and will take you more seriously.

Oh well... free healthcare, right?

I had vertigo. I'm not sure what Epley maneuver is, but I had to sit on the couch then lean quickly to one side, wait until I am not dizzy anymore, sit up, do the opposite side, and repeat until I stopped getting dizzy. I also saw a physical therapist who would have me lie down and she would position my head to one side quickly and waited until she could see my eyeballs weren't bouncing around then so forth. With both, I was cured within 1-2 weeks after having it for 6 weeks.

Yes that sounds like the epley maneuver but on a bed with your head hanging off the edge.

Yikes! 6 weeks! It's only been 3 days for me. I'm walking like I have a neckbrace on because I'm too scared to turn a sudden way and trigger the vertigo. It makes all my limbs feel weak and shaky. I can't imagine having it for so long!

+ 5 = 266

He’s coming down. But do it slowly please...

I haven’t done the maneuver yet because turns out, in the video, the doctor suggests to keep upright for 8 hours. And I need to sleep for my next night shift ahaha. So I guess I will do the maneuver a few hours before my shift.

Yay! Ming listened to me for once and went down slowly.

PMPS = 214

I'm working tonight but my mom will get a +5 and we'll go from there.

Ming brought a slug inside. It must've been stuck to him. I immediately gave him flea medication haha! I've been putting it off for no reason other than pure laziness. He'll be getting a bath soon too.

Ming doesn't like to cuddle but will tolerate a lot of man handling so I guess that's the trade off!

I haven't done the treatment yet. I woke up at 5 PM and no one was home :( Haha! I most likely will do it on Friday when my weekend starts. For now, I have no vertigo! It's probably the medication working it's magic. Although, I can feel little bits of dizziness when I lie down so I know I still need to fix my ear.
