Well what can I say, I may need to work from home today or this morning. going to check is 30 minutes to see if he is going up or down. Any one want to bet he will be at the same number lol
The sure do... a bit nervous He is at 161 now so moving up.Ha! Nice to see good numbers, but they sure know how to mess with our schedules don't they!
I meant, just nervous about the low numbers, still need to get used to them. They moved up a little the last 45 minutes so it good, but nervous that if I shoot will go too low while at work. Full shot or half dose... what to doThe sure do... a bit nervous He is at 161 now so moving up.
Good luck! I'm glad he's doing so much better.Marvin at 193 at 8:35 this am, decided to give him full shot, with food. Off to work, will try and get in early to check on him
Yes on the bounce, but aren't you glad you shot the full dose this morning? Great data gathering today as you learn more about Marvin. It was lovely seeing those mid blues.
Yes, but he had some time in healing numbers today. And he didn't go up a whole lot more from the + 8PMPS 405 big bounce.....
maybe it will be a short bounce, are healing numbers blues or any numbers lower than norm? I thought healing only happened in the greens.Yes, but he had some time in healing numbers today. And he didn't go up a whole lot more from the + 8
Any thing under the renal threshold are believed to be healing. And I believe that anything under 200. If I am wrong, I am sure someone will weigh in.maybe it will be a short bounce, are healing numbers blues or any numbers lower than norm? I thought healing only happened in the greens.
I hope you are right as that would mean Marvin has had a nice few days with some healingAny thing under the renal threshold are believed to be healing. And I believe that anything under 200. If I am wrong, I am sure someone will weigh in.

Good information, thanks Wendy.Healing numbers are generally considered to be the green numbers, or under 100. At those numbers, the pancreas is getting support and rest and that is when the beta cells can heal. Note that if Marvin does have acromegaly, there may not be such a thing as "healing" numbers. Acrocats can have fully working pancreases. However, spending time below the renal threshold is a very good thing as it means his kidneys don't have to work overtime. Renal threshold can be determined by using keotdiastix that measure sugar in the urine, that is spilled into the urine when kitty is above renal threshold. The renal threshold number can vary by cat, but is somewhere around 200. I didn't use ketodiastix, but rather tested Neko's BG right before she went in for blood and urine testing, and figured it out that way.
