It looks like Jessica mad a nice slide out of the red zone. Hopefully he continued and slid down a bit lower.

Jessica's spreadsheet has the numbers from your subject line posted for 5/28/13 and nothing for 5/29/13. Since you just started your pen two weeks ago it should be good, provided it hasn't passed the expiration date on the box the pens came in and you haven't shook or mishandled it. It should look clear and nothing should be "floating" in it. I used my last pen for six weeks and there wasn't any insulin left in it.

From Jessica's SS it looks like you aren't testing her before each shot? Testing her before each shot is very important. If for some reason she dropped into low numbers and you gave her the shot it could be dangerous for her. You should also try to get a mid cycle test as well.

Welcome to Lantus Land and I look forward to reading Jessica's post.

I don't think I've visited your condo before, so welcome. I used my last cartridge about as long as John. The last one was switched after 42 days. As long as you keep the insulin in the fridge and is handled fairly carefully, it should last.

I echo the comments about getting the preshot tests and at least one additional test per cycle. Without that information, it's hard to tell whether it's time for an increase.
