Yesterday's Flat Blue Day
When you have a diabetic cat, sometimes you don't need coffee to wake up! This was one of those days.
Note to self: remind DH that when he gets a green preshot, he needs to call me around +2 to check the cat!
Needless to say, we will take the reduction tonight.
Harvey's appy has been just okay this morning. Not bad enough for meds, but not good enough to satisfy his helicopter mom. He ate most of his t/f/s meal, but wasn't impressed with his breakfast. One or two bites wasn't good enough for me after getting that 42, so I broke out another flavor. He ate about half of what I gave him of that. A few more bites with each test, but I got tired of the 40s and broke out the MC at +5.25. He ate several bites of it, but mostly just licked the juice off it. That's okay, though, since I was going for carbs, not calories at that point. He did get SEB before bed. He got more MC at +5.75.
This is considered the best day of the year if you're a racing fan. The F1 Monaco GP was early this morning (not a big fan so did not get up to watch it - I'd just gone to bed when it started!). I'm watching the 100th Indy 500 now - 350,000+ people at one venue. I wouldn't want to be in the crowd trying to leave the speedway afterwards!
Then this afternoon we have NASCAR's longest race, the Coca Cola 600. Racing nirvana! Lucky for me, there are a couple of hours between the 500 and the 600, so I can run to the grocery store and also scoop the litter boxes. We'll bbq ribs tonight. I'm so glad they're okay on the plan!
I hope everyone in the US is staying safe and enjoying their long weekend. Don't forget to pause a moment and recall those who gave their lives to make this freedom to celebrate possible.
Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans.
Heavy duty vines to Toby, Lucky, Neko and Amy's DF. Extra
s to Peg, Celia, Wendy and Amy.
