So not knowing if he'll keep all his breakfast down since he still has not cleaned himself out and shows no interest in the litterbox I was reluctant to give him a full dose but I watched him scarf down 3/4 of a can of his food, waited about 20 minutes and he seemed fine so I gave him 4.00 not the full 4.5 we've been doing but close enough - his amps was 272 so after all that trauma he was doing OK. Gotta go back to bed as I was up with him most of the night on and off. Not going to any parades today - sticking close to home to make sure he's better.

The vet last night sounded fantastic! We'll be on poop watch with you and Robbie today and hope everything comes out all right. (Bad, bad pun....)

Hey no Memorial day parades...that's ok. nailbite_smile
When it happens Have a poo poo party! Make a new thread announcing the poo poo party. party_cat

I completely understand about constipation. After the whole saga with Baxter & the horrible time he had I had a poo poo party. Heck we will probably never have a OTJ party so I thought why not have a poo party. I felt like he become unblock was a huge accomplishment.

Hope Robbie feels better soon. ;-)

Thanks gang - hope we can have poo poo party - he's making NO move towards the LB this morning - but we'll see it's early yet I guess.

Ellen -

I just had a chance to read throught your posts - I'm so sorry you had to deal with this - and of course it has to happen on a holiday weekend! Murphy's Law.

Sounds like the house call vet was exceptionally helpful (and that supportive thing helps too!!!). Hope he continues to pass his poo without assistance. I think the suppository suggestion was good. Cathy and Kitten were the ones that did it frequently - always joked about the look on the check-out girl's face when she went through the line! But she got it figured out, and you will too.

Good luck! Hope Robbie's feeling back to his old self and things are "moving steadily" for him soon!!!

Jenn 12 hours what? No longer to wait for it to pass? I have no idea how long its been there - nothing was down near the "exit" the vet said it was all middle of the line - on Wednesday of last week he was clear and our Vet felt nothing - but I don't know how long it's been sitting in there - the vet last night was happy that what came out wasn't as hard and dry and she'd feared was actually softish. He finally made his way to the box this morning and tried but nothing. I've been in touch with the house call vet and she's around and can come back but said give him a chance to go on his own - I'm just so anxious - hate to see him feeling punk for yet another reason.

Ellen - I've not dealt with this with Hershey, so have no helpful tidbits to offer. I'm sorry Robbie is suffering with this and hope it resolves soon! Last night's vet sounded wonderful; glad she was able to come out and lend a hand. ;-) (Figured I'd join Sue in the land of bad puns)

Take care -

Libby (and Hershey, too!)
