I didn't get a chance to post yesterday but things are status quo around here. I upped Simon's dose a little to see if he starts showing some better numbers. He has mainly been surfing in the yellows over the last couple of days. I am scheduled to go to the vet on Wed. to talk about the Adequan shots and to get the first one at the vet. I know I can do them at home but I just feel more comfortable with the first one done at the vet. Simon is definitely stiff and I'm hoping that he will get good relief, just like so many of the kitties in LL have improved on Adequan.

Simon is still not taking his pepcid in the canine duck and pea pocket so i have resorted to pilling him. He actually is getting more used to it and doesn't clamp his mouth down so hard anymore :-D

Remembering all of our veterans that have died for our country on this Memorial Day. And also remembering all of our kitties that need strength and our prayers here in LL.

Georgia, so sorry Simon is stiff with the arthritis. Good luck with upping the dose and also with the Adequan shots. for Simon. Have a nice day. Do you have the day free?

J.D. doesn't like the canine pea and duck pill pockets, either. Actually, after he found pills in the feline ones, he quit liking those. I just use a bit of the canine pill pockets to wrap around J.D.'s pills and make a softer form to push down his throat. He is currently getting two 1/4 pills twice a day, so I wrap the two pills up in the bit of pill pocket and it's just easier to get it to the back of his throat than a little bit of pill.

I give the adequan in J.D.'s scruff, since I don't shoot insulin there anymore. It's just like giving insulin, only a much bigger dose.

OMG! Where did this 42 come from?!! I guess that little bit of extra juice kicked in. I'm glad I don't have any Memorial Day festivities away from home. Looks like Mr. Simon will be getting poked a little more although he loves the yummy fuds that he gets when he posts this kind of number. I'm gonna test again in 1/2 hour and will see if I need to start carbing him a little.

Dyana, thanks for the tip about wrapping the pill in the pill pocket to make it easier going down. I'll try that tonight.

Wow! Yep, it looks like that little bit of extra juice has kicked in all right! I hope he surfs nicely for you tonight!!

Hi Georgia - what a nice day for Simon! I love the beginning of the PM cycle. I guess Simon likes his new dose. YAY!! and a big oh WOW on that 42. :shock:
