Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (LOTS: post holiday recovery mode), and Happy Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! The newbies have been hard at work, perfecting their pizza business. They catered Maui's party! :shock: With 100 pizzas! .. Maui was so insistent that there be no paw prints on the pizza too. HUH? I hope nobody looked at the underside of those pies..... no... no paw prints there. Lola kept using up all the ice cream that I have for my brews. HUH? What she need ice cream for.... maybe they used ice cream sauce, :shock: I dunno! And Bug! :shock: all my bean's jalapeno jelly sauce went missing. HUH? On pizza? Guess so..... Rookies! so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Cappuccinos with extra foam for all! And for all MochaMannie's Mocha fans: a Venti quad Irish cream infused white mocha, with hazelnut whip, garnished with caramelized nut clusters and white chocolate shavings... AND a dollop of caramelized nut and white chocolate swirl ice cream .... YUM! I so hope that Mannie is convinced that the ice cream was a good idea... :-D

All is well with the Three Musketeers. :-D They are quite the pair: Lola and Bug. Yesterday they squirrels here were busy invading the bird feeders. I have one that is just off the deck, next to the slider. Those two sat on a chair together side by side as close as they could get and watched the squirrels for the longest time. What was so funny was that all went in unison: the tail swishes, the head bobs, and turns. I so wish I had the camera with me.... later that day I was wiping by hand with a dish towel, and Lola jumps from the floor straight up and grabs hold of my arm, kinda of like a head lock, but on the arms: no claws, hangs on and sings me a chorus of meow's. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: They are such characters. I have no clue where Elsa was - she missed all the fun. :roll: This is from last night's post, but it is also so indicative of the two of them that I thought I'd post it again.
Hi Everyone! Such a quiet day here.... short of the antics of two new kitties who run things around here, under the gentle supervision of resident matriarch Elsa, and the spiritual guidance of Mannie, the Nanner King. The art of crazy play has returned to this house. That and generous feline assistance. I needed to clean the skylight in the kitchen, which requires a ladder. Not one of my strong points.... :roll: So there I am perched on this ladder and up comes Lola, climbing up the rungs. :shock: Seems she wanted to help..... up the rungs, through my legs, until she was head level. "whatcha doing mom?" crazy cat. The following was written by Lisa in yesterday's condo. It just struck me as how true it all was. Thought I'd share today, with my response:

It is so great to hear how Bug and Lola are getting along! That just brings a smile to my face - you know it's going to be a surprise to see how the dust will settle in the house after a kitty addition or two, and after that it will never be the same. It's like spinning the lottery wheel to watch the new dynamic take form!

Hi Lisa - this is so true. The dynamics around here have changed, for sure! All in a good way. I had forgotten what it is like to hear those thunderous paws down the hall in the middle of the night, or the jostling for position at the food bowls, or the disputes on who gets to stick their nose up to the open screen door first. and my personal favorite? CC-RASHHHH! and then the "What. Who me? it was him, not me!" :lol: Lola climbs ladders, just like Mannie did. I wonder if he taught her. Bug has stacked a few nanners. hmmmmm.... Mannie still rules the roost here. Nope, not the same, yet at times so so familiar. I love it. :-D :-D

I really didn't do much yesterday, but did make it to the woods and the shore at Meadowdale, first thing in the morning. It was nice to be there in the early morning, nice and quiet. It is very peaceful down there at that time. Critters were out too. I made it back home just before the rains showed up. lol, didn't want another soaked to the skin day like the day before. haha. Have great day everyone! I am off to have breffis with my son this morning, and then, hopefully , coffee with a friend in Seattle. WooHOO! A social day for me. :-D :-D :-D :cool:

OMG, I can't believe Lola climbed all the up the ladder! Yikes, that would have startled me, but how sweet that she wanted to help MamaBean with that yucky chore! What a sweet group. You guys definitely hit the lottery!

What a fun time at your house. I love the pictures. It looks like everyone is settled in and it was like they were there all along. What Mannie must think. I'm sure he is so pleased to see you smile and have such a great time. Too funny on Lola. Mannie definitely gave her a few pointers there. Have a great day Michelle!!

I'm touched by the Mannie-influences, too. He's ever present. :-D

I love that the rookies are willing to learn all the duties ... drying dishes..gotta help mom and cleaning skylights.. gotta help mom :lol: :lol: They are sooo sweet.

Elsa, sweetie, Your new door is all ready for you. No more Elsa standing outside in the cold or rain. See your door? it's got your name printed on it. All you have to do is say..It it I Elsa, Lil Bit Kitteh Barista... or if you need to get out of the rain quick ...it'll also open if you just say Open Says Elsa! Yum Yum Yum for today!! This is the best!!!

Elsa, I heard the rookies did a great job on Maui's party pies. They is learning! And only a small flour mess??? I'll be by to help clean up...(maybe just one..or two surfs on the flour.) :lol: :lol: I hope Tess wants to go on a bus adventure today! Hi Carla - It was - I tried so hard ot to laugh at them, as it was serious business in their book. But it was so funny - like a couple of bobble-heads bobbing in unison. THX on today - it was fun.

Hi Barb - THX: happy is! Days have been good.I really miss Mannie, think I always will, but wow - the memories are so great, and it is fun to see Lola ad Bug taking on some of his characteristics, like the ladder and the nanners. Good times! I'm glad you liked the pics - and no worries on kn owing who is who. Elsa is teh torite, Bug is the tabby, and Lola is they long-haired tortie/maine coon.

Elsa, I don't know how I could have gotten through the big, busy weekend without your marvelous coffee. Thank you so much! I needed a 20-hour energy coffee today! It's good that the rookies have decided that pizza is their thing, not coffee. Only the most discriminating should undertake the intricacies of coffee! Hi Michelle, I love the descriptions of the kitties' antics in your condo today. Lola and Bug are just perfect! Love those galloping feet down the hall, and the Mannie reminiscenses.

Your pics are so beautiful. And the ones of the Bridge are amazing. When do you think they will rebuild it?

p.s. My new camera has a "cat mode": When it detects a cat's face it automatically takes a picture!!! I tried it and it WORKS! (it does have to be "on", but you don't have to push the button)
 
Hi Ella! Your camera has a cat mode????? :shock: mega cool! I so want that! :cool: :cool: :cool: THX on the cat stories for today - My fav part is those thundering galloping feet down the hall. They are so fast! all followed by the rumble tumble. me too on the Mannie reminiscences. Just so much fun! THX on the bridge photos. They are starting to work on a temp fix now, well they will once the bridge inspection is done (they say this week) to ensure the rest of the bridge is stable. The will put in a temp span while working on a permanent repair. They hope to have a temp solution done in a few weeks. I have no clue how they can say just a few weeks!

Me too on the rookies! pizza is better for them, they can toss and throw things all they want then, and no matter! not the beans though... one has to care for the beans.... no hockey. they always wanna play hockey with the beans. :shock: thanks for for thinking I have the time, skill, and creativity to be a Kitteh Barista.
