Re: 5/27 Please Think Of Jackson Tomorrow

I wonder how Alex will adjust to Jackson needing quiet to recover. They have a close bond.

Wishing everything is alright and no need to worry. More hugs.

He'll be fine with that. Jackson has been sick before and not wanted to move and Alex just stays close a lot of the time..and vv when Alex is sick. They really don't 'play' play much anymore..only every now and then...they are both 14 :) He'll just be happy he's home. And me too. I just turned the living room into a bedroom again to make SURE Jackson doesn't get any bright ideas about jumping on the bed...and so I can keep an eye on him.

Re: 5/27 Please Think Of Jackson Tomorrow

Keep us posted. He will be in your arms and in your care soon. Meanwhile, he is surrounded by a TON of white light!

Re: 5/27 Please Think Of Jackson Tomorrow

Jackson is home!!!! He doesn't seem to be disoriented at all...just very happy to be home. He's trying to tear the bandage off of his wrist where the IV was but Jaime told me not to take it off for a few hours so the blood has time to clot. I didn't think the incision was going to be this huge but this surgeon is very thorough. I didn't get to see her because she is swamped but they did do a biopsy. Jaime feels pretty sure that it will be fine because Jackson has had this for a long time and he didn't see any signs that it shouldn't be although I can't get my 100% guarantee :-|

Jackson is VERY thirsty..he is drinking water like it's going out of style. I have a/b's for him and buprenex for 2 days if he needs it(I'm quite sure he's on it now),I have to use warm compresses bid for a few days to a week and I also got a note from the surgeon that said "Thank You! Jackson is adorable" I think so too cat_pet_icon

Thank you for all of the prayers and support. The power of the FDMB has come through again. (but please keep your fingers and paws crossed for a good biopsy report)

Love,
Caryl, Jackson and Alex

Soooo glad Jackson is home and all is well. I hope the biopsy shows nothing. What a very handsome boy you have there.

I knew a cat once that did the same things with the kisses. And it really hurt when he tried to pull my head closer for more kisses. It was actually kinda scary - not knowing if he was going to eat my face off or not

i'm glad Jackson is home and you can take care of him and spoil him!

that's a huge incision.....poor guy :(

sending healing vines to Jackson!

praying for a good outcome on the biopsy...that it shows nothing but a fatty tissue...

Sooo glad he's home and is okay. He's the sweetest looking kitty, even with a humongous incision!! :-D Prayers continuing for a good biopsy report.

Wow...you weren't kidding about how large the incision is but I am soooooo happy he is doing just fine!!! What a sweet, handsome boy....and so brave, too.

I know you are so relieved, Caryl. Now...we send mega healing vines that he'll be up and about SOON and that all is normal.

So glad Jackson is home and he came thru the surgery so well. He looks so sweet in that picture. He doesn't look disoriented and seems like he's feeling better. Enjoy the rest of your weekend now with Jackson and family. Hugs.

Yea, Jackson is home and everyone is feeling much better!!!! Caryl, I know you are as happy as a pig in mud that all went well and he's home with you now. I'm in awe as to how big that incision is! Sending quick healing and good biopsy vines your way!

I am so happy that Jackson is home and doing well, even with that big old incision. Wow, that looks like it hurts, but that is what good old bupe is for. Jackson looks adorable in the picture...what a cutie! Keeping y'all in our prayers tonight.

Thank you everyone...he's one hurting little guy tonight. They sent me home with buprenex and I gave him some just now. I meant to only give him 1/2 of one syringe but the whole thing went in .25 ml. I think he got his last dose around 1PM...maybe ten hours ago

Welcome home Jackson!

Hi Caryl - I am so glad that Jackson is home and that he is doing well. Poor little guy - I bet that does hurt. I am glad that the surgeon was thorough and that they did a biopsy. Take care of your fella - lots of kitty cuddles.

Caryl I'm so happy things went well and paws crossed for good results on the biopsy.

Welcome home Jackson! Here are lots of healing vines to help you heal better soon.

Caryl,

So glad that Jackson came through the surgery great and is home with you. Before you know it fur will cover that incision and you'll never know he had anything there. Keeping him in my thoughts and prayers for a good biopsy report.

Look at those big beautiful eyes! I know you are taking great care of Jackson and he will feel better soon. I'm sure that big incision does hurt, poor baby. I'm glad you have bup to give him and help him through this. I am sending lots of healing thoughts and benign prayers for the biopsy results.
How is Alex taking all this? Is he calmer now that Jackson is home? Is he watching over him?

Alex is not quite comfortable with the whole thing. He is confused...poor baby. I'm starting a condo for him now. I just gave Jackson his bupe. Now THIS is difficult. Making sure that Jackson is okay without getting Alex emotionally upset :?

THANK YOU ANN for the beautiful vines! I love this!!! So positive and calming :)
Thank you again..EVERYONE! If i was capable of making hearts on my laptop I would..but I don't have a number keyboard so just accept my gratitude and xoxo

Sending hugs for Jackson and wishing a fast recovery.

That incision is quite larger than I'd expected also. Only two days of bupe? Do you think he'll need it a bit longer?

If he does my own vet is just down the street from me and I can get it. I have enough to get him through most of Tuesday. Thanks for asking though. :)
