5/27 Yoshi amps 289 +3 214, +6 80!!

Hi. I’m new here. My Yoshi has been unregulated since diagnosis in January. His numbers have always been over 300. Today I am doing his curve and boom! I get an 80. I thought my glucometer was malfunctioning! I tested again to make sure. I gave him some food and he’s eating acting normal. He’s on 4.5 units twice a day. Should I be concerned? Give him his dose again tonight?

Fed him now he’s 95. Guess he’s fine just being a worried mom as I’ve never seen low numbers before!

Welcome. If his numbers don't come up by your shot tonight, you'll need to make sure you can monitor during the PM cycle so he doesn't go too low after you give him insulin. I'm glad you are home testing so you caught that 80. He may bounce since he is not used to normal numbers. Have you been home testing since he was diagnosed?
