5/27 - Shakespeare leaving PZI behind

Well folks, It is so very sad for me to say, but as of this morning, I have given Shakespeare
his last PZI injection. I can no longer keep him in these horrible numbers with no explanation.
Tonight I will start Levemir. Please pray for Shakes numbers to get better...

I want to thank all of you for always being there for me. I will continue to check on everyone
but I really need to concentrate on my baby now and try to get his numbers down as I see
this is really starting to affect him.

As I said I will still drop by frequently to make sure everyone is ok,
and you know how to find me if you need me!!

I will be praying for all of you!

Denise, please check in and let us know how Shakes is doing. I know some of us are in a similar place, wondering if we are ever going to get the ProZinc thing right, or whether another insulin would be better for our kitties. I would like to know what differences you see and don't see.

I don't know if the folks in PZI realize how small the Lev board appears (at least from my observation) - I think it's actually smaller than PZI! And people don't seem to post daily or at least as regularly as most of us do/did here. I expect we'll both be back here on a regular basis checking in on all our friends& sharing our stories, so folks, please don't think of us as "leaving"... it'll probably be more like "expanding our horizons". Can't imagine EVER leaving some of the friends we've made here! I feel like we get up, work all day, and go to sleep knowing that several someones have their eyes on our babies, and knowing we've got our eyes on theirs! It's a REALLY good feeling!

Good luck w/ Shakes... I'll be picking up Grayson's Lev either Wed night or Thurs morning, so we'll be right behind you, cheering Shakes on to great numbers along with us!

Rather than a "farewell" here, I posted in your "Welcome to Lev" thread instead. Yes, small group, but some people who can be extremely good sources of help and information. If you haven't seen it yet, Sheila did a very good job of describing how the insulin works and the whole shed/depot concept. I'm glad I posted there because otherwise I wouldn't have seen it!

Best hopes that Lev is does the trick for Shakes and Grayson!
Oh, another very helpful person would be "Marjorie" (and Grace). She posts mainly in TR, but Grace is on Lev, and it works better than the lantus was for her. Marjorie is a great source of knowledge and always willing to help if asked. Tell her "carl" sent you!
