Hi Everyone,
The 3 feet of snow were on Whiteface Mountain--15 miles from here. We had a beautiful, sunny, cool day and a wonderful paddle on the Racquette River from Axton Landing to the Crusher. My sister did fine (she's 85 years old). We had our lunch with mosquitoes. We had a fun potluck picnic supper at the home of the leaders of the trip. I went home to feed Rusty and give him his test and shot and then went back to the party. We all collapsed in front of the TV and watched war movies when we got home.
Rusty had an OK day. He hates to be left alone and this weekend has been semi-stressful for him because his routines were disturbed. But he's good. Tomorrow my sister leaves for home. Edward goes to his yoga class. And I'm going to go on a bike ride with some of the gang. But I'll be home in the early afternoon and Edward will be home from his class in the late morning. So Rusty can get back--sort of--to normal. On Wednesday morning I'll be climbing a small mountain to kick off the "Saranac 6" quest (6 mountains around the village of Saranac Lake). You get a patch when you climb all 6. We'll be doing them over the course of the summer with a small group.
So that was our day. I didn't have time to get on the board at all. Missed you all and hope to catch up tomorrow afternoon, when I get back from the ride.
ni ni,
Ella & Rusty
