Whew, getting ready to leave is a lot of work! Add a cat with appy issues and it's a wonder I have any hair left. She just doesn't seem super interested in either flavor of her food, she'll eat with bribes, but not reliably on her own. Just what I wanted before I leave. At least we have a CPC for dinner! Wondering if I should get some more Cerenia for Mom to give if she seems off... I don't think she's nauseous, but I don't want to take any chances. All 5 Ps in place otherwise and seems like a bounce break for now!

Any thoughts on a vacation dose? Should we see how this cycle plays out first? Start vacation dose Thursday PM or Friday AM? I leave Friday afternoon, will be heading to the airport by AM+4. What other questions can I ask?
 
Remind me again how much testing will be done while you are gone? Do you think Mom can handle fat/skinny doses, or would you rather just be on the line? Mom will be staying at your place?

Realistically, she will only get PS tests. She would probably prefer the line, but I was going to make a sample syringe and have her match it regardless. She'll be at their house (but lived there for 6 years before I moved out).

Yeah, she generally only eats two foods. There's always a big chance she gets diarrhea when I add a new food (vet thinks maybe an undiagnosed allergy) so I've been sticking with these two while I'm worrying about her numbers and dosing. Biting me in the butt now since I don't feel I have more safe options... ugh. I have a couple extra cans of some safe stuff I can bring so I'll do that.
 
I think I too would worry about her appy. Some kitties just eat less when their bean is away. Maybe 1.0 unit? Starting Thursday night would be safer, as often the impact of a dose can affect the cycle following and you'll be leaving part way through. Let's see what others say.
 
No dosing advice from me - just dropping in to say how great her numbers look today. :) I hope you get a holiday dose sorted out and you manage to get everything ready in plenty of time.
