Yesterday was a yellow and pink day, usual daytime bounce and night time slide.

5/26 Recap:
AMPS 201 +4 335 +9 298
PMPS 319 +4 297 +9 248

I took a look at the SS, and the last time Neko went down in the daytime instead of bouncing was April 18th. I'm getting just a tiny bit tired of this. The worst thing is that I almost count on Neko giving me a permission slip do do whatever during the day and one of those days she'll surprise me. I'm not happy with Neko's numbers, but still giving her a bit of time to get over the bounce. I'm also struggling with the current bag of syringes. Besides the lines being wonky (thank goodness for calipers), these BD syringes seem to have a plastic bit that comes down into the cylinder and it's varying quite a bit across syringes so not sure she's getting a consistent dose. I swapped to a new bag this morning which is better, but gets even worse bubbles. How hard it is to make a good syringe? Sheesh.

I got up for rowing this morning (got last night's +9), and we even made it down to the boathouse, but the wind was picking up and there were whitecaps so rowing was cancelled for the morning. Cats were happy to see us get up early because they knew it meant more treats. We did a btb when we got back but they were lobbying early for breffs. Just can't change any of their routines when it comes to food. The rain started a couple of hours ago, and the cats are nestled in their fleeces in the solarium.

HI Wendy....oh, don't you just hate bad syringes. Aside from the trouble it is to get correct dose, what a waste of expensive insulin, when you have to toss the whole thing.

Sorry you didn't get to go rowing....I guess this means you got into the boathouse. I haven't been around much for a few days. Last time I remember, DH could't get in...broken lock?

Kitties must be happier than heck when the beans come right back. :-D

Re: 5/27 Neko AMPS 274 +4 333

Sorry to hear about how bad the syringes are. I wish they made better syringes too. Kitties sure don't like their schedules to be changed. I hope Neko heads back down soon.

Hi Wendy and Neko,

Has summer not arrived to Vancouver yet? I bet you can't wait for lovely warm mornings.

Neko - your mama's worried about you and the syringes are stoopid. Give her extra purrs and cuddles today.

Grace

Looks like Neko did a big ol' U-turn during the day. :-D

@Barb - Insulin here doesn't cost as much ($100 gets you a 5 pack) but it sure is time consuming. It's hard to find anything other than BD's here and they're more expensive than in the US. Love monopolies - NOT! DH got a lock smith in for the boathouse door so got it fixed that day. Turns out the push button lock we were given had a wrong part in it. And yes, kitties wait at the door when we come home. So cute!

@Carla - Neko did a quick little turnaround today, as requested. Thanks! As for syringes, not much can be done, but it helps to yell at them.

@Grace - Good to hear from you, but not the reason you had to visit here. Summer came at the end of April when we had some days in the mid-20's, but it's gone back in hiding again this week.I think I'll go get those extra purrs now. :-D

Neko is starting earlier tonight....
Going for lots of Green.... huh Neko?
could be.... could be not....

I wonder if you would like one of us to send you some Terumo syringes instead.

Hi Wendy -

Nice +9 Neko! One of my fav colors: Blue! Maybe she's decided it is time to get down to business. GOOOOOOOOOOOO Neko!

I used to us B's too, and had such issues with them and those inconsistent wonky lines. Switched to monojets, which had their own set of issues. too. I'm with you: how hard is it to make a good syringe.

Not the best of weather here today either.... where is summer?

Have a great evening!

Re: 5/27 Neko PMPS 165

Neko, you are getting to be predictable. Don't you know that isn't how FD works?  What a drag to get up to go rowing and then not be able to go...

Much better Neko. cat_pet_icon

@Rhiannon - Flip a coin, which way she gonna go? If I could find the product code I could get the monojects from a mom and pop pharmacy near me, but Tracy (&Leo) tried them and said they produced more owies. Thanks on sending Terumos but not sure about sending across the border. If I get a decent box of BD's they're tolerable. This evening syringe was good.

@Michelle - Looks like yet more blue, I've been looking forward to seeing some of that too. :-D BD's with calipers are fine, just occasionally get a bag of really bad ones. I agree though, the lines are very wonky. Depending on what syringe I used today, I was either dosing .75 or .25 according to the lines. I miss the summer we had a couple weeks ago.

@Liz - I think one of the other FD cats should read Neko the rule book, she's way too predictable on those bounces. The worst part about not rowing was getting up at 4:45 for nothing.

Re: 5/27 Neko PMPS 165

Pepper made a turnaround back to blue, too. I'm starting to think he may have a bit of a crush on the beautiful Miss Neko - he seems to be following her wherever she goes!

Re: 5/27 Neko PMPS 165 +3.5 153

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for visiting Rex's Condo. I really really like Neko's blue numbers tonight! Now if she would only coast in the lower blues for tonight. :)

Sorry to hear about your rowing cancelation! :(

Looks like a safe to sleep blue surf.

@Nancy - I hope she isn't a bad influence on Pepper!

@Rex - I'm happy with solid blues for now. There's always another day for rowing, rather be safe than sorry.

I just looked it up.
An international flat rate box is $19.95 plus the syringes are $17. Probably all twice as high as what you are getting....I'd say I was sending pet supplies on the form.

But I'd be willing to send it any time if you ever do want.
I just ordered a box of terumo's last night and so far haven't heard from them that I even need a prescription. ( My vet is about to have a baby and go on leave until August
and I'd rather have another box in the house just in case.... - how's that for a big anti-jinx ;-) )
