Good Morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (10 hour energy ~O) rules!), and Happy Memorial Day!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! The newbies have been hard at work, working on learning pizza. They had a few OOPS!, like the flour and tuna dough blend ending up on the floor... Bug got to try flour surfin', and says Ollie needs to come and give it a whirl. Lola had a few issues with the anchovies and the pepperoni. It seems she had to taste and tasted then all up, She's off to the store to gets more... Rookies! so. well. anyways. onwards! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all MochaMannie's Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls.... AND a dollop of candied cheery cherry chip swirl ice cream .... YUM! See Mannie? The ice cream is mega good!

Lola and Bug continue to do well. We have been commenting on how it is like that have been here all their years. Just so at home. I didn't take any new photos yesterday, as I was gone all of the day. I will try and get some more today. Bug has become quite the lap sitter and cuddler. LOVE THAT! Lola is a sweetie too, and sits on my lap when I am on the computer. She continues to come to bed with me at night, along with Elsa. AND (!!) no hissing or fighting. They both settle into their spots and sleep the night there, Mega cool!

Yesterday I spent the day on the Skagit River, visiting some river parks in the hopes of finding a few good spots for Nicholas. (From last nights post): I also wanted to go and check out the reroute for I5 north, at the site of the bridge collapse. The reroute actually isn't too bad. it will be slow going once the week starts. but all in all quite doable. The river parks were very nice parks, but not quite what Nicholas really likes. Of the three only one allowed river access, where one can get to the shore, a safe shore. The Skagit River Park in Mt Vernon was the one. There is shore access near the RR bridge, with some decent shoreline and nice river views, So... we will keep that one in mind when we need something to fill the gap. I have some to the conclusion that to find what he, and I, really like we need to go to the mountain rivers, likes the one we did last Thursday: remote, and void of most city trappings. Today was a nice road trip, and I am glad i Went, despite the relentless rains that left me rather water logged.    here is teh Picassa link to the photos. Ther are also about 5/6 photos in ther of the I5 bridge collapse. Most are near the end of the album. Link: Skagit River

Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your holiday too. I have no clue what will be here today. I may go hike if the weather is doable. I had originally wanted to go over the pass and hike eastern Washington with another coulee hike, but also know the pass traffic in the afternoon will he horrific at best, so not too sure I will go there. we shall see....

And kitties? THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!

Morning Michelle, ~O) ~O) great pics of Skagit River, and I can see all the clouds there at the end. I'm always in awe of how pretty all the greenery. Wow on the Bridge, too.
That is so neat how Lola and Elsa follow you to bed and then sleep together. Elsa is so used to having other cats around and seems to be adjusting great. Where does Bug sleep? We can never get enough pics of all of them and especially with Nicholas.
Have a great day wherever you hike takes you, depending on the traffic understandably. Here I know to stay away from the beaches. I used to love it when I first moved here, but these days it's just crazy with the traffic and all.

Elsa lil Bit Barists, hey great with the rookies trying their hand at pizza. Mags says she can come over and help, but she doesn't know anything about it, so may be get in on the action of making a mess.
Thank you for my 10 Hour Energy coffee and Espressos, love ya. Auntie Ann

Hey Rookie Pizza Makers,

I want to be the first to try your pizza. I'm having a holiday party at my place and need about 100 pies with all kinds of toppings! Do you think you can handle an order this big! Oh and there better not be any paw prints in the pies! @-)

Hey Lil Bit - how about whipping up some ice cream specials to accompany the pizza and serve at the party! It's also a good excuse for you to come to another party! What do you say Lil Bit! You up for it! Oooh and wear your lovely new uniform, err outfit too! :-D So, you can stand out and be a big smash! And please keep the rookies out the of the ice cream! I don't want their whisker marks in it ok!

I'll even pick you up in Mannie's Roadster, hitch my wagon to the back so we can carry all the supplies and off we go! You did good last time we went for a ride. You held on tight and only squealed a couple times when I turned those corners quickly!

Signed Maui the Magnificent, any excuse for a party!

Even with the rain, you can tell that is a beautiful place. That's sweet Elsa and Lola are both sleeping on the bed with you. It's great how well they are getting along now.

Hi Everyone! Such a quiet day here.... short of the antics of two new kitties who run things around here, under the gentle supervision of resident matriarch Elsa, and the spiritual guidance of Mannie, the Nanner King. The art of crazy play has returned to this house. That and generous feline assistance. I needed to clean the skylight in the kitchen, which requires a ladder. Not one of my strong points.... So there I am perched on this ladder and up comes Lola, climbing up the rungs. Seems she wanted to help..... up the rungs, through my legs, until she was head level. "whatcha doing mom?" crazy cat. The following was written by Lisa in yesterday's condo. It just struck me as how true it all was. Thought I'd share today, with my responce:

It is so great to hear how Bug and Lola are getting along! That just brings a smile to my face - you know it's going to be a surprise to see how the dust will settle in the house after a kitty addition or two, and after that it will never be the same. It's like spinning the lottery wheel to watch the new dynamic take form!

Hi Lisa - this is so true. The dynamics around here have changed, for sure! All in a good way. I had forgotten what it is like to hear those thunderous paws down the hall in the middle of the night, or the jostling for position at the food bowls, or the disputes on who gets to stick their nose up to the open screen door first. and my personal favorite? CC-RASHHHH! and then the "What. Who me? it was him, not me!" Lola climbs ladders, just like Mannie did. I wonder if he taught her. Bug has stacked a few nanners. hmmmmm.... Mannie still rules the roost here. Nope, not the same. I love it. :-D :-D

Hi Carla ~O) ~O) ~O) Hey thanks - I think so too. That river is so pretty. There are times it takes on that ice blue color of the glaciers/snow melts - just incredible beautiful. And yes - I am so happy to see those two sharing the same space. They were they two I was a little concerned about, but as the week went by they have gotten on better each day. Now no more issues!

Maui! oh oh! 100 pies???? :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o But of course we can! no..... no paw prints! We wear gloves! oh wow, tis is so mega cool! 100 pies for Maui! ~~ Lola, chief peperoni eater, & Bug, champion flour skater

Maui - it's me Lil BIT! I am so ons it. if I can keep Bug from eating all the cream. silly bro cat. hmmmmmm...... not too sure on that outfit! Hmmmmmmm...... no whisker marks? OK good to go... Psssstttt hey Lola, Bug! no whiskers, but she didn't same anything about those tongue lick marks... you guys are good to go! Lola and Big are so excited about riding in the roadster. We's gonna need harnesses or sumthin' - they don't sit still ~ Lil BIT, ready to rumble

Hi Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) THX on the photos. It is sch a pretty lace. With all the rains here everything is all so green. It so all so nice! I think so too on Elsa - her adjustment has been really great. I am so glad that she has said it's all OK with her, it is a huge relief. Bug usually sleeps somewhere upstarts, normally on the sofa. Me too on the pics with Nicholas. That first hour that he is here day that he is is utter chaos, with him and two kitties running everywhere. Then comes the down time with lots of pets. It is truly remarkable. I didn't take off anywhere, just did the local stuff. I just decided I didn't want to deal with all that traffic, and decided a relaxing time would be better. :-D
Auntie Ann - no worries! Tell Maggie she is welcome. They just got a huge order in from Maul, so I thinks they could use the help. Messes are cool too! Ollie is the master at sponge slide cleanup. and I lubs you too Auntie Ann ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Lots of pretty greens in the pictures.... send us the rain... it's dry here....

Ladders are just weird trees....Lola just had to help....
I always prefer the curious reaction over every one running away....
I got a drooler that is scared of us getting a new trashbag in the can.... silly dog.

HI Rhiannon - I will send our extra - we have more rain than we need... LOL on Lola - that she did. darn funny though.  curious does describe her well. She has to check out everything! oh wow on the drooler. Sometimes Elsa can be that way - jumps at sounds... normal everyday sounds. silly cat.

Just getting to you condo today - your pictures of wet sure look like ours today! Very interesting pictures of the bridge. Hard to believe a segment of bridge was held up on the small piece of concrete for so many years.

Too funny on Lola and the ladder. I fostered a maine coon once who thought he had to be at the highest point possible - top of fridge, top of microwave, top shelf of everything. I've seen other photos of Lola on the bookcase, she is indeed a climber. What fun!!

Hi Wendy - oh my yes on the wet - been a few days of the very soggy stuff for us: just bough to mess things up. ;-) Amazing on that Bridge, isn't it? It is kinda scary when you see them broken like that. not much there, for all that it carried. A big wow too on that it took so little to bring it down. I thought so too on Lola ad the ladder. Interesting on the Maine Coon aspect. She definitely has the climber part... always on top of things. She's fun though - lots of fun.
