Good Morning LL!!
(10 hour energy
rules!), and Happy Memorial Day!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! The newbies have been hard at work, working on learning pizza. They had a few OOPS!, like the flour and tuna dough blend ending up on the floor... Bug got to try flour surfin', and says Ollie needs to come and give it a whirl. Lola had a few issues with the anchovies and the pepperoni. It seems she had to taste and tasted then all up, She's off to the store to gets more... Rookies! so. well. anyways. onwards!
time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all MochaMannie's Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls.... AND a dollop of candied cheery cherry chip swirl ice cream .... YUM! See Mannie? The ice cream is mega good!
Lola and Bug continue to do well. We have been commenting on how it is like that have been here all their years. Just so at home. I didn't take any new photos yesterday, as I was gone all of the day. I will try and get some more today. Bug has become quite the lap sitter and cuddler. LOVE THAT! Lola is a sweetie too, and sits on my lap when I am on the computer. She continues to come to bed with me at night, along with Elsa. AND (!!) no hissing or fighting. They both settle into their spots and sleep the night there, Mega cool!
Yesterday I spent the day on the Skagit River, visiting some river parks in the hopes of finding a few good spots for Nicholas. (From last nights post): I also wanted to go and check out the reroute for I5 north, at the site of the bridge collapse. The reroute actually isn't too bad. it will be slow going once the week starts. but all in all quite doable. The river parks were very nice parks, but not quite what Nicholas really likes. Of the three only one allowed river access, where one can get to the shore, a safe shore. The Skagit River Park in Mt Vernon was the one. There is shore access near the RR bridge, with some decent shoreline and nice river views, So... we will keep that one in mind when we need something to fill the gap. I have some to the conclusion that to find what he, and I, really like we need to go to the mountain rivers, likes the one we did last Thursday: remote, and void of most city trappings. Today was a nice road trip, and I am glad i Went, despite the relentless rains that left me rather water logged.    here is teh Picassa link to the photos. Ther are also about 5/6 photos in ther of the I5 bridge collapse. Most are near the end of the album. Link: Skagit River
Have a great day everyone! Enjoy your holiday too. I have no clue what will be here today. I may go hike if the weather is doable. I had originally wanted to go over the pass and hike eastern Washington with another coulee hike, but also know the pass traffic in the afternoon will he horrific at best, so not too sure I will go there. we shall see....
And kitties? THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!
