Stinky pinky flats

All quiet here in Zener's domain this morning - a shift in the wind, no smoke, and good progress continues on the wildfire. Zener had a good yard patrol this morning, now napping in MamaLizBean's office. We have been enjoying these flat cycles, just not the color....beans' are never satisfied. :roll:

We now have a mouse in our composter, maybe more than one. They gave MamaLizBean a start the other day, when she was turning the compost. We have advised Zener and Tillie that chipmunk season is over and mouse season is here. Last night Tillie was perched in front of the composter watching intently.

We are grateful to the over 1200 firefighters working to keep us safe. They are making progress on the fire - 25% contained, and our neighbors to the south are now off pre-evacuation notice, so we are able to relax a little too. Happy holiday to all those in countries where today is a holiday!

Uh-ohhhhhhhh! There is the dose threat, Z-man! zener could be sensing your tension about the fire too, that can keep the BGs up. I've been watching for an update from you, glad things are getting better!

I know how Liz felt. I was turning ours once and disruped a nest of baby moles! I felt so guilty! nailbite_smile I recovered them at once, butI don't know if they survived or not. the warmth in there must make good nesting spots.

Mousie season! I is on the way to help Tillie! the other two house pests have scared off all the mousies here! -- Tess

Thanks for stopping in on the holiday to check on our guy. No action yet on the mouse front.

Hmmm, a lower nadir or an all day slide still in progress. We went ahead with the dosecrease, since we had been six cycles without healing numbers. Night duty bean is getting soft with all these pink numbers lately.

Good luck with both the dosecrease and the fire situation. I hope neither keeps you up too late tonight.

Every once in a while Neko stares at our compost box. Great cat entertainment. I'd rather not know what she's hearing.

Progress on the BGs and on the fire front. Zener is on the slide, new juice in place, appy happy. It's a great night! :razz:

The fire fighting continues and they are making good progress. Still over 1200 personnel on the fire. The wind shifted today, taking the smoke southeast of the fire and away from us, and we were able to open doors and be outside. We felt like we had a temporary release from our house arrest.

Yay, Zener! Work that jus!!! Sliding into something blue for the evening is the purrfect way to end the holiday weekend.

I'm glad Zener is doing well today, and that the wind shifted and containment is increasing. All good news from Northern AZ!

I hope the night duty bean gets to relax and just watch Zener surf. Take care, ladies.
