Last night was another crazy numbers night. Her pre-dinner test registered a whopping 182, then three hours after eating she was at 60   ! I wish I knew what all these means...when I see those higher numbers, I want to reach for the needle; when I see the lower numbers, I'm glad I didn't. It's odd, but then again, Trix never follows a structured path anyway! Today, she is much "flatter."
She did have a very soft poop last night...so, I guess she is not in need of Miralax any longer. At least I hope it was miralax-induced soft poop. So no more miralax for now.
This morning was SOOOO old school Trixie! She snuggled while I checked e-mail and spent a few minutes waking up. She hopped up on the ottoman for her test, hopped down to the floor for her first breffis. After a not-too-shabby start, she realized everyone else had MUCH better crunchy stuff in their bowls, and - for the first time since the p-titis - I had to play food bowl referee
!!! It's not fun, and she is fast, but it was awesome awesome awesome to see her old speed and determination back on the scene! Once she realized she wasn't getting to the bowls, she headed upstairs where she did finish her first breffis and had a very good second breffis with MamaBean holding the plate. I actually can SEE forward progress with the food habits, though...she is starting to eat more normal amounts without me holding the plate...slowly but surely, she is getting there.
I had another loooonnnnnggg day at work yesterday...I ended up teaching TWO classes while running the store by myself. I am beat, and relieved to have today and tomorrow off. I will be happy to NOT chit chat with anyone! And, I will get to visit condos in between being leisurely and getting a few things done around the house.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day, LL...and many thanks to all who have served our country.
