Good Morning LL! Well the brief hope of a green last night was dashed! Definitely bouncing or NDW. The blue surf yesterday was nice though. DH is goiing to New Orleans today in fact I have about 5 minutes. He gets to go to his nieces wedding and I get to take care of Tess. :YMSIGH:

WCR Very hungry and woke us up several times now she's on the alert for Mr. Orinch. 4Ps, bbl......

Well, she tends toward NDW for a few days so who knows what will happen.

I just got back from dropping DH off at the train. I think Tess can tell that dad is gone already. We've learned the hard way that we have to pack in the guest room in the garage, can't let her see the suitcases or she freaks. Tess was very relieved to see me when I came back. AND! She ate her second breffis from the feeder! She just needs to be awake to notice it. :roll:

I'm going to try making raw food today. Finally got everything, the hardest to find was the Lite Salt! I gave up on waiting for the Feline Future samples, it's been a month. We have an old hand grinder, I have no idea how it will take to the bones. Wish me luck. ;-)

I think Tess and Mannie both took a vacation to RBC. I hope she brings the numbers down...

It is there same here with the suitcases - can't be seen. I have one that will literally camp out in it if she sees one. Logic, kitty logic, is that if I'm here no way will they leave me. Mannie is the same with the feeder - awake is good.... :?

Good luck on making raw I am lazy and just order mine from primal and DH is always telling me we need to start making our own and I keep thinking why do I need to for only just one cat since I really do not look to feed my entire hoard raw maybe one day I know many aby breeders who do guess I am lazy and yes I prefer to dole out kibble :roll: so bk to buying raw for my FD boy :-D but good luck on making it the thought sits in the bk of my head does not seem to get past that :lol:
 
Ugh! Really bad bounce. Hope she comes down to earth soon. It usually takes a while with a new dose though.

Well, I've learned one thing. If I am to continue to make raw, I'm getting a good electric grinder or buying pre-ground! We have an old hand cranked meat grinder I thought I'd try it with. Not that hadr, but mess! And the bones kept clogging up the head. Tess had better appreciate this! :roll:
 
I'm surprised that Feline Futures has been slow. I order from them all the time and it arrives quickly -- less than a week and I think they distribute out of California.

I have a KitchenAid mixer and use the grinder attachment. I don't grind the bones though. You need a heavy duty grinder to deal with the bones. The Feline Future pre-mix contains calcium. I'm a little leery of using already ground meat. Unless you know exactly how long it's been sitting, I'm concerned about bacteria. The greater the surface area of the food, the greater the chance for bacterial growth.
 
poor Tess has been hanging out with Mannie too much... I hope the bounce clears quickly. Come on down Tess!

Kudos to you and attempting the raw. more adventurous than i, but i do hear it is the way to go.

Sienne, I was talking about ordering the meat from Whole foods 4 Pets or Hare Today. Actually without the bones the hand grinder wouldn't have been that bad. The bones clogged it up.

Pedro's heart is still humming from his dance with you dancing_cat :dizcat Maybe hers is too. She best come on down 'cause there's gonna be another party tonight and Pedro will be looking for her.

I get the Feline Futures - arrives really fast. When I ordered the samples they were fast too.
Nice thing about FF is you can buy the skinless/boneless meats and I just use my food processor. No need for a meat grinder.
