Look at the AMPS 79 - Sheba's lowest AMPS since she came out of remission!
She had PMPS 79 last night and only went up to 115 +3.5 (she always has a bit of a food spike on levemir) before dropping back to green where she surfed all night.

I did manage to get a better sleep last night. I was so tired I fell asleep earlier then I normally do and set the alarm to get up each hour a couple of times to see what she was doing. I then got a couple of decent blocks of sleep, so feel much better this morning!

She is back to jumping up and sitting on DH lap which she hasn't done for ages. Couldn't do it when she had the neuropathy anyway but didn't go back to doing it when she could have. She is also looking for a lap when the kids are sitting in front of TV and seems to enjoy the attention. She used to be like that before but stopped it....I guess she wasn't feeling great.

Great report on Sheba. It must feel better being a lot flatter too. :) Good thing you took that reduction. I knew I had it made with Neko on Levemir when I could stretch it out to 3 hours apart testing when she is in green at night.

+4.5 38 have given her HC and honey. I have to go out in 2 hours. I think I might have to take her with me. I will see how she goes

I think I was a bit heavy handed with the honey:joyful: but I had already given her some medium carb and drop honey at +4 when she was 65 and she continued to drop another 27 points in half and hour.
Does this mean she gets another reduction? Or is it too close to the other? Once she gets out of the bounce cycle she seems to need less insulin...does that make sense?
And to think I slept better last night, thinking she was 'safer' with the reduction yesterday:joyful:

At least she'll be safe while you are gone. ;)

The depot can affect 4-6 cycles after the reduction, so yes, it was probably in play today. However, 38 is a little low and that was after honey! If she'd been in the 40's I'd say to keep the dose, but maybe she wanted another .25U reduction. You can always go back up if it doesn't hold.

Well her depot was still in control so you're probably just seeing the effects of that, but to drop into the 30's is usually a pretty good sign that there's still too much...whether an "overfull depot" or too high a dose

I think I'd probably reduce her back to 6.25 and see how she does....you can always go back up!

Looks like maybe Sheba has found her "breakthrough" dose! Wouldn't that be wonderful?

@Wendy&Neko @Chris & China
Thanks Wendy and Chris. Great minds think alike....isn't that what they say?
I will be very happy to go back to 6.25 thanks and see how we go.
It is one thing to test and get 2.1 if you are looking for it and wanting a reduction, but quite another thing to test and get 2.1 out of the blue, especially after honey and MC!
It would be great if it was the breakthrough dose! But I am not counting my chickens yet!
Her numbers have been "different" in the past week of two though. And her whole demeanour is moving quickly back to her remission days. I don't think I am being fancifully saying that.
As you say Wendy at least she will be safe while I am gone:)
Thank you both so much

That's a little bit too low Sheba, come on back to shore and safety for your bean. Guess she is keeping you on your toes today Bron, take care.:bighug:
