Good Saturday Morning, Everyone,

Another good start for Rusty. He's loving the lagoon, it would seem! Good shot, test, Wellness Turkey for breakfast, and now a nap in his basket. No ill effects from his encounter with the window/screen yesterday afternoon.

My sister arrives today in time for lunch. It's a beautiful day. We'll take a walk after lunch to the grand opening of the Adirondack Carousel, here in our village. It has been years in the making and was designed by local artists. All of the figures were carved by local craftsmen, and they were painted by local artists. Instead of horses, there are Adirondack "creatures", including a bald eagle, a black fly, snowshoe hare, fox, racoon, coyote, bobcat, deer, moose, etc. I'll know more about it after I see it. Free rides for everyone today, plus refreshments, and a drawing for 4 round-trip tickets on Cape Air from Saranac Lake to Boston.

Tomorrow we'll do a paddle so that my sister can get her paddling muscles back. And on Monday our group will have it's annual Memorial Day paddle and cookout.

Off now to do last-minute stuff. Everyone have a great weekend.

Your weekend sounds fantastic! I would love to see that carousel. My DH would have driven up there in a heartbeat. Me...i don't like to drive, and Himself would be a terrible riding companion . :lol:

Rusty, looking really good this morning with a nice green AMPS! :mrgreen: Have a wonderful, fun filled time with your sister. It sounds like a lot of interesting and fun plans. The Adirondack Carousel sounds so neat, maybe some pics. Have a great weekend Ella.

Sounds like a wonderful relaxed weekend and Rusty is being a great host, nice numbers, but not so low as to keep you home.

Do get pix of the carousel, what a great community project!

Rusty is looking so good!! Love all his greens.

Enjoy your holiday weekend with your sis and paddling. Sounds like SO much fun.

I hope Tobey did not interfere too much with the cookie baking. He came home covered in flour and cimmamum :lol: :lol: :lol:

Sounds Like a great day for Rusty & for you & ED!! Take pix of te carousel so we can all see it!!
There is a 100yr old carousel a few towns away from here, my DB & I rode on them as kids--
They were taken & preserved & placed in a county place where they can still be used by children ...
Also hand carved with much hsitory!

Hi all! Wonderful AMPS for Rusty - I just love green starts. I am so glad too that there were no ill effects from his adventure yesterday. :-D :cool:

The carousel sounds wonderful. Maybe you took photo? Love the free rides today - FUN!

And welcome to your sister. How fun! I remember how she comes every year for this weekends paddle. I hope she has a good time tomorrow too.

Thanks for visiting. Sorry I couldn't visit many condos today, but I thought about all of you and your kitties.
Rusty has been green--really green--all day. I think he's angling for a reducie. I hope his episode of pancreatitis is over and that I can begin to take him down again soon. Fed FF T&G alongside his other foods all day today.

It was really hot in the sun today. The carousel is neat, but I didn't get any pics because it is housed in a roundhouse (octagon) and it was too dark to shoot. Also, there were hoards of people. I'll try to get a pic in the near future. The creatures were wonderful: otter, black fly, deer, bobcat, fish, heron, loon, bald eagle, black bear. It's a small carousel and everyone was having fun. We didn't ride on it today: the line--in the baking-hot sun--was too long!

I hope everyone had as nice a day as we did. It is great to see my sister (haven't seen her since Xmas).
