Cinco jumped off a low cliff this morning, and has been wading in the lagoon every since. I don't have a problem with that at all! I would prefer a blue PS, but beggars can't be choosers! We had a 6:00am wake up call this morning. I could not get him to quiet down by yelling from the landing, so I went down and gave him a full body massage and head rubs for five minutes and he settled right down. I sure hope I didn't set a dangerous precedent!
I wonder if the problem is that he wakes up and can't hear or smell anyone and thinks he's been abandoned, so he hollers to make sure we're still here?! He has no way of knowing what time it is (darn it!).
Sasha is still sneezing, despite my giving her about 3 mg of Zyrtec last night. I'm going to give her the full 5 mg in a few minutes. If that doesn't stop her I don't know what else to do. Maybe dust and vacuum?  The air purifier is due for a filter change next week (both filters), so maybe that will help. It is hot enough today that we closed all the windows and turned on the A/C, but this isn't the first day we've done that, so it's hard to say if the problem is coming in from outside or not. The good thing is that, even though she snuffles and sneezes, her appetite is still good. She eats well and does pretty well with the pill pockets, although sometimes I have to get another pocket as she's eaten around the capsule!
Harvey has been a little off his fuds the past couple of days. At first I thought he was just being picky. but two different flavors didn't tempt him last night, and then everyone decided they did not care for what had been their favorite flavor up till now!  He did eat some dry food, though. This morning was the same way, and then I noticed some spots on the family room carpet that looked like someone had thrown up a clear liquid. I was pretty sure it was Harvey, so I gave him some Pepcid (no problem eating Pill Pockets!), and twenty minutes later he cleaned his plate! I read on Tanya's site that CKD kitties often have acid tummy issues, and although he isn't full blown CKD (knock on wood), I'm wondering if this is going to be an ongoing issue for him. I may put him on the maintenance dose of Pepcid, every other day, and see if that helps. So now all four kittie will be on meds! :YMSIGH:
I hope everyone has/had a wonderful holiday weekend (and if you are not in the US, I hope you had a great weekend and a good Monday today).
Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG:
