sigh it appears my older aby girl is FD she will of course be vet checked this week but after a week of peeing and drinking way too much the Bean tested her which I do off and on since she is also a IBS cat and has pretty much been on steroids most of her life. Anyway first test this afternoon was a High and then at pmps 509 stared with .5 lantus need to test her actually again so will be off to do that in a bit this is a total dry food cat and I really do not see that changing she has never eaten canned so right now I have offered wellness core and DM and I shall embark upon seeing if I can find canned she likes but I also have to keep her IBS in check anyway I know I will know more later in week after I can get her into the vet she could have other issues she turns 14 in June. Overall she is happy and purry just what I did not need another FD kitty but oh well what can you do.....

Oh, Lisa, I'm sorry Zin has FD. When I saw the name in the heading, I thought it was a typo or something.
I hope Zin can transition to wet food easily for you.
I already know you're a good mamabean, so Zin's definitely in good hands.

thanks so much I would like to hope its short lived and just due to her latest steroid injection which she has gotten for years for IBS but alas she has never drained all her water before I plan to get a complete senior workup this week just to see what else could be going on with her she was due a dental this summer and that was when I had planned to get the BW done but looks like it will be now...

You have been very smart to keep an eye on Zin's BG. I just sent a note off to a few people re. food issues. Someone had posted about a LC dry food and I don't remember the name. I'm trying to track it down. Maybe it will help with a transition. I really hope this is steroid related and passes.

Yeah me too Sienne last time I checker her BG when she did this too me she was only 74 so when saw the high today cat(2)_steam but I know the constant use of steroids can do this but its the only thing over time and a lot of testing that has helped she has been a problem aby since she was about 4/5 when she was dx with IBD. Anyway will see what vet says and I will also be trying some diff foods :? so many thing make her chronic vomit and or Diarrhea plus she hates almost everything she is not a good FD candidate at all :lol: :lol: have other abys that would live on canned if we could afford to feed everyone that :YMSIGH:

I will look into it MJ if its only for her it would be worth it since honestly I do doubt I can get canned into her but we shall see how this week goes hope to get into the vet one day as well calling them tomorrow...hope to get her in by thursday

I think the company will send you a sample altho' it might be a small one.

I bought their dry food for dogs and they sent me samples of their dog treats.


I can also send you a sample of the zero carb cat food... I have a big bag for my outdoor cat ( who needs a forever home)

So sorry you are having to deal with FD in another baby. I know of another member who was able to get her kitty OTJ rating the Young Again food. I hope it will help Zin.
