Great start for Willie. He is currently playing the role of Mr. Piggypants as he is much preferring today's breffis of Wilderness Duck over yesterday's BG Turkey. :lol: :lol:

Busy day at tbp today, plus finalizing homeowners insurance and the final inspection negotiations. The Seller is a doctor who got a job opportunity of a lifetime...in Australia! They are already there... so their agent has to speak to them at 3am every day. :shock: Can't believe i'll have keys to the place a week from today!

As you're thinking of the folks in Joplin this week, please add the folks of Reading, KS to those thoughts as well... 25-50 of the 200 homes in the town were destroyed, and every other home and business suffered major structural damage. Saying prayers for all who lost loved ones and for those left to rebuild their homes and communities.

Way to go on the AMPS Willie!! And how exciting about getting your keys so quickly!! I hate packing up to move, but I love unpacking, putting everything where I want it and decorating...sooo much fun!!

Everytime I see the news reports about the storm devastation, I thank my lucky stars that, while I live in hell's furnace, at least we don't have natural disasters!!! How awful for so many people. I'll be praying for them, too.

Great numbers for Willie this morning! Congratulations on the house Christie! That is so exciting.

Prayers going out to everyone in Missouri and Oklahoma. Such a sad string of events and it seems no area is untouched right now.

What a beautiful start for Willie. I bet you made sure there were good windowsills at the new house for Willie! (And a photo or two of the new place would be lovely!)

The storms this year have been devastating for so many communities. I do think we've managed to annoy Mother Nature.

Wow! You'll have your new home in just a week! I know a move can be so overwhelming. I'm glad you are feeling better, remember to breathe! :-D

Another nice cycle shaping up for Willie tonight, especially given that his advocate meter runs on the high side of the 20% MOE range. He has spent the evening explaining his current state of starvation. After two cans of Wilderness today, I put out some BG Turkey, so he isn't too pleased with me... especially since I had tuna salad for dinner!! Looks like a case of Wilderness may be in our future! the cost is a bit high, but this weekend, I gave him some 9 lives i'd bought awhile ago. I find that with foods that have a first ingredient of water, he just goes through so much more of it that I'm not sure it's really all that cost effective.

Thanks to everyone for the flea advice yesterday! I have been blessed to not have a single flea issue in the 5 years we've been here, so it is good to know what folks are using these days! I think the heartworm combo med sounds like a good plan.

Sienne... the house actually has no windowsills!! :shock: :shock: I plan to put the sofa in front of the living room window and will be using a sofa table as a buffer to decrease the blockage of an unfortunately placed vent. Willie is very good about staying off the dining table and the counters, but I think a sofa table in front of a window would be too much temptation, so I plan to leave it pretty sparse, with only maybe a lamp... plenty of space for him to stretch out and enjoy the street view. The sunroom/office will also have seating in front of the window so he can monitor the goings on in the backyard. We'll see what I can figure out for the bedrooms!! With pre-installed fancy pet doors to the garage and then to the backyard, I'm hoping he'll forgive me for any deficiencies with the window seating!!

This site shows a few pics of the place, and if you click through to "View more Info at RE/MAX, it shows several more, though you do have to provide an email address. Will definitely post more once I get stuff moved in!

Dramatic day weatherwise here in KC... will post details over in Loose Lips! All is well, though, and Willie and I are safe and sound!!

Yes on the storms, and the devastation for so many on so many different places. It is just too much to fathom. I fell for all those folks who have suffered so much. If you have a chance visit Attie's condo - Beth has posted photos taken of the tornadoes that have touched down there. scary stuff.

What a beautiful new home you have. I love the upstairs shot! Fantastic!! I have no doubt you will be very happy there. Congrats again! It all sounds so fantastic.
