So I am seeing some green and blue pre shots in the PM, but still yellow and pinks in the AM.

The young vet had wanted me to try 2.5u in AM and 2.25U in the PM, but I ignored her. Should I have tried this and does anyone do different AM/PM doses? Would it be better in the reverse (higher dose in PM) bcuz of the way the depot works? Or is it a bad idea all together and how can I lower the AM numbers?

The lantus does not seem to work on a 12 hour cycle with Taffy. He often goes down all day until PM rather than a midcycle low and rise. Should I do some curves this weekend to help me see his patterns, if any?[/URL]

So, after lounging on the bed for an hour or so, Taffy goes to his dish and licks it clean and then heads over to check out Baby's food, but doesn't eat it (pretend buries it instead) because he does not like Baby's canned. But this makes me suspicious, so I check him and he gives me a 41 @ +2. Fed and rechecking right now, but so now a reduction??? I feel like we have not seen low enough numbers overall, and still so bouncy.

Hmm, not sure if what you're seeing is Taffy breaking a bounce when he is lower at PMPS. I think a curve can be helpful, but I feel like us TRers are constantly doing mini-curves anyway.
Hopefully someone more experienced will give you some feedback.

HOLY****! That's breaking a bounce big time!
hat did you get on the recheck?

Hi Julie.

Yeah, that's a reduction. Taffy likes to go to extremes, I know. His bounces are pretty short-lived, though, which is good. But it also means you have to be on your toes. I like that you picked up on the hints he was giving you that he was low. Hopefully he'll forget about the trampoline soon and just enjoy relaxing on the beach with the occasional dip in the lagoon. We can always dream, can't we?

Meanwhile: up, please, Taffy! PJ parties on weeknights are not a good thing!

Another 44, so he is having more snack. I am giving MC, but if he does not come up on the next couple of tests, I'll break out the gravy. I am not panicked. Trying to bring him up gently.

It is nice that he has his little tells for his mama when he goes low. His numbers are unpredictable, so it's the least he could do!

OH, one thing, I had moved his TFS time up by about 30 minutes tonight (from this morning's time) bcuz I have a meeting in the morning that I have to attend. Could this have caused the drop? No, right? The effects of changes would be seen tomorrow...? Still don't quite understand this, as you can tell.

You're lucky. Cinco never gave me a clue when he was low. Often he'd just sleep through it. Good thing I was a testaholic!
I was much more of a tester in the first several months, but I have just not been able to keep it up lately. I am hoping to have some things off of my plate soon, so maybe I can get my head back in this sugar game 100%.

I really doubt 30 minutes early would make him drop like that.
