Stella's Condo

Good Morning! Well, everything is in place for Stella this morning. She is very 'content' and holding an 'attitude' towards Boo...which means she must be feeling extra good this morning. They both just ate, and now Stella is giving a stare down to Boo and 'guarding' the area. As if she needs to guard it. Haha! There is no food left.

We went to the vet last night, and Stella still has high blood pressure. She is at 180 and the vet is going to add another med. Stella weighs more... 14 pounds! Oh my goodness Stella! I was expecting her to need less medicine, and I thought she lost weigh...so my perspective is off. Yikes! I guess that is why we go to doctors/vets in the first place... The doctor thinks this is all pointing to problems with Stella's kidneys. Please Stella...no medical issues. Breathe...

Have a good day everyone!

Haha - guarding the empty dish! I love trying to figure out the cat dynamics sometimes (like they're ever consistent, kinda like finding great logic in BG trends  )

Big fingers crossed on no more medical issues. I bought a baby scale that was recommended here a while back that I use for all the cats because Leo is FD and FIV, Molly is CKD, and new little Mako had better have NOTHING yet, but is still growing! I weight them about once a month. I know, it can be so hard to judge - I thought Molly had lost about a pound but she was still the same when I weighed her. Salter Baby Scale. (This is the affiliate link to Amazon from FDMB if you are interested - going to Amazon through the link at the top of the page gives FMDB a few percent of every sale and it costs you nothing. I have to keep telling myself to go to Amazon through FMDB for everything I buy! LOL!)

Vines for no medical issues.

Our fingers and paws are crossed as well for no additional medical issues! I do hope that the vet can figure out the high BP though. I have a baby scale that I bought on Amazon as well, both cats hate it, which is funny because when I take Smokey to the vet she always crawls into their scale and that's where she stays until the end of the visit, exam and all

Have a good day Mary,
Kathie

That's funny Stella is guarding the empty food dishes. Cats are so funny sometimes.

I also bought a scale when Furball was diagnosed with fd. I weigh my cats once a week. Furball has no problem climbing on the scale, but some of my others I have to fight with.

Morning Mary,
  Guarding the empty dishes.  You tell 'em Stella!
I tried a "mom and baby" scale. You could just hold kitty and it would tell you her weight....don't bother with that idea... it's not accurate. Fingers, paws and prayers for no medical issues!!!! ? Are they wanting to do more tests to track down the problem?
hugs and scritches to you.
