Yesterday's Condo
Pajama party last night...I had trouble getting his numbers to go up, but he was a good boy and ate the gravy installments for me on his own without have to use the syringe. Might have been good if I had gotten an earlier test done but it was a distracting night...and I thought he might just repeat what he had done the previous nights. I was wrong...he did his famous Shadow drop. So, he has his first <50 number in the series and I will wait patiently for the second.
He managed to eat his +8 snack and breffis this morning just fine. Relaxing now. My coffee maker chose to just up and break (hate when that happens) 24 is totally over, Lost is totally over, and I am really beat now....

Sounds like you and Shadow had an exciting night.

All these shows have ended, it's a little sad.

Wow. I'm speechless! This is looking great for Shadow and looks like you will need lots of naps Pat. What a day for the coffee maker to quit. Yes, that means go back to bed. :lol:

Hi Pat, We still have "24" to watch (had to tape it last night), so don't tell us what happened!! Fantastic numbers for Shad-0! Too bad they're at the expense of your sleep. It looks like both our boys are trying to get their numbers down. Stu will be along later with the menu for Thursday's big bash. Was he any help at all yesterday while we were out? He said something about Raja bossing him around while decorating and about trying to help her find a hole in the fence.
Get some sleep today!!

Looks like the party is going to be a lot of fun this month! Tugger has sure been missing Shadow, he can't wait for Thursday!

Get some sleep! Sorry about the coffee pot... that just sucks. I recently bought some instant coffee in single serve packets. I've been using the STBX Via they came out with around Christmas, and they are good but pricey and have been hard to find. So for the trip I decided to buy Taster's Choice (I got the Gourmet because it looked like a richer tasting one than the other regular stuff) instant coffee in case I couldn't find decent fresh coffee when I stopped for gas and also for the hotel room. I was surprised to discover... they aren't that bad! I have to use two packets to get the rich flavor I prefer, but for about $3.50 for a box of 20 packets (in my case 10 cups) vs. $3.95 for three servings of STBX Via... it's worth it! I use 'em when I really don't feel like waiting for the coffee pot to brew or in the afternoon when I just want one cup to tide me over. You know I'm a coffee snob, so if I can drink this stuff... I think most normal coffee people would be happy with it ;) There's not much difference between the Via and this stuff.

Hope you get some rest today =)

Yup, best you go back to bed, gonna need all your energy for Thursdays big party. Max thanks you for your invite and has told me to RSVP a yes. He is obsessing with what to wear, and has been testing his best tuna breath on me daily since hearing about all the cute 'lil girl kitties that will be there. If there is anything from the African continent that you would like us to bring, just holla..

Great numbers for Shadow. I use those Taster's Choice coffee individuals, too. Comes in handy after I drink my two cups from the coffeemaker when I start to get sleepy mid morning.

Ever try like 8-10 temptations? they do a quick up when Moonie goes low ,because she wont eat much when she is so low, so anything that works is for us...


Yes 24 was great & all our shows are over, but new ones will come & bring more frustration :lol: :lol: :lol:
I used to scream at the TV for all the years of 24! :lol:

Thank you Marvie for the suggestion...i was just talking about trying those Strbucks things but sine so many of you mentioned the TC I will try that. I am a bit of a snob when t comes to coffe too... ;-) I think I broke the darn machine while cleaning it ...too many cycles too quickly, ya know? i seem to do that a lot with coffee makers. I will need something to tide me over till i can have a new one delivered via internet....a 14 cup one that I like.

So, Shadow is bouncing as per Shadow's norm. I will l share what happened last night as I was carrying him over to be tested at around midnight. Raja was rushing cause she knew a snack was going to follow and somehow, I stepped right on her paw!! She let out a blood-curdling scream and darted into my room. I tested him and got the 44 :o . Hurrying to get the food for him and then rushing to try to find Raja.

Her eyes were dilated and she cowered and tried to get away from me. I gave her some food and she ate a little. When I went back, she had taken to the closet...hiding. I felt SO bad and was apologizing all over to her. Held her tightly but I could see that she was having a lot of trouble trusting me. sniff sniff. I can't believe I did that....what a horrid thing to have happen. I was so sad and while she is okay this morning, she is still looking at me as if to say "And I thought I KNEW you..." I feel so bad about this....how can you explain an accident to a kitty? I was a mess after seeing how she was so scared and then him and his numbers...and well, it was a traumatic night for me. I was SO tired at midnight and had to wait till his numbers got higher...but, my alarms worked later on so that was a good thing!

She is on the chest of drawers in my room as usual....she still looks cautious when I g o near....geeeeeeez... :sad:
Got a 2 hour nap this morning so that is a good thing....will go buy temptations today too...thanks Roni.
And as far as something from South Africa...hmmm...we really don't care to have a great white shark but some gold nuggets would be very nice..... LOLOLOLOL Can't wait to see Supermax and all the kitties on Thursday!!!

Oh poor Pat....poor Raja. She will get over it. She is just trying to make you feel worse than you already do because she knows Shadow gets the late night attention with his low numbers. I hope you are taking a nap now.

That happens to all of us; don't worry - easier said than done! Now she will milk it for all it's worth, and you will enjoy spoiling her to make up for it. Take care and hope you can get some rest.

They make 'em that big?!?! More info please! I can find 12 cup coffee makers if I am patient but usually only 10 cups. 14 cups would almost be perfect for us when hubby is home....

After that party last night Pat I think a little bouncing can be expected. Hope your new coffee maschine turns out to be winner! Don't feel to bad about Raja, Spooky is always under my feet and gets stepped on at least twice a week. he screams really loud too, but usually I scream louder "WTF! Stay out from under my feet you stupid cat!" I don't feel bad at all and he knows it so he doesn't even try to play it up! Raja is enjoying your guilt and hoping it will get her something special.

Spooky is feeling better and said he doesn't want to miss the party, he's goning to bring some of those famcy meals I bought for him that he can't eat anymore :cry: and something special from Germany (I think it's Leberwürst :razz: ).

Shadow had a nice snack...so did Raja. I brushed her and she got up and came over to me as I am typing and was bunching my arm and well, guess "we" are okay again. I just feel soooo bad about stepping on her. What kind of thing did that seem like to HER? boo hoo.....sniff sniff...laying next to me as I rub her belly. Poor little girl.... :sad:

An Monique....glad your boy is feeling better. Can they bring me the city of birth of my great great grandfather too? A birth certificate would be nice too...circa 1825? See them on Thursday....

Pat, that's unfortunate about Raja. I am glad she seems to be feeling better and letting you off the hook. I have the same situation as Monique: my civie Cricket is constantly underfoot at food time (I have the smallest kitchen known to man) and I step on him at least every other day. He yowls, runs about 3 feet, then comes back. I do the same that Monique does, so I think maybe Raja is trying to give you a guilt trip. ;-)

Man, you gotta take it easy before the party! You can't have these late nights scaring your bean. You both need to be in tip-top shape for Thursday. We didn't get as much decorating done as we should have; do you need me to come back again? Let your bean nap and then we can party it up while working. See you soon!

Holy Cow, Pat. You had quite the night. Shadow just wanted to surf those low numbers and keep his momma bean up. And look at that +4 today! (anti-jinx). If that keeps up you may have another late night. You better take a long nap today. :mrgreen: I'm glad Raja got over her mishap. I know you felt bad, but it was an accident - maybe Raja was laying a guilt trip?

Is the decorating party tonight? I think I'm off schedule.

I don't know Pat. After a night like last night with Shadow plus giving a booboo
to Raja (kiss her pawzy for me) I would skip the coffee and move on stratight to the Vodka!!!
Here is having these fabulous nu,bers continue but you getting some rest!

Max is looking forward to the party for Sunday. I think he might have made plans with Raja
but he is for sure picking up his usual gang on the way down.

Wow....can you see me grinning? I am impressed with what he is doing today. Last night was a given...knew eh would plunge eventually, but this day is amazing me. I am astonished. shocked. happily please....hopeful. wow. Maybe he is learning....he is very quiet though...just left my side now after this last test. He and Raja were both here with me and it was so nice. She is on the chest of drawers now. I am letting my fingers do some research on coffee makers again. Do I buy the same one that broke or one that is twice as much money and won't have a spare carafe for? :lol: And what do I do till it arrives....TC is on the menu I guess. What a day! I am useless without my coffee...you all know that! :lol:

Tess....Raja loves the centerpiece...awesome!! And Buzz...we do need you here as soon as you can. I need their buddies to come to take their minds off the craziness of this place...Help!! :lol:

Last night must have been step on your kitty night as I did just that with Buster. She follows me in my tiny kitchen and last night I was carrying something and didn't look down, sure enough she was under my feet and I stepped on her! She let out a whimper and as I tried to get around her, she stayed under/in front of my feet the whole time.

I almost fell on my face as a result.

So, let's hope that tonight is kitty knows better than to get underfoot night!

My legally blind DH steps on--or almost steps on-- Stu all the time. Stu is totally used to it and doesn't mind a bit. In fact, he watches for DH and discretely gets out of his way, or makes a soft "brummeling" sound to warn that he is there. Clearly, you have to get Raja trained!!

Chef Stu has the menu planned and will head down to Florida tonight to help decorate and to delegate tasks to the kitchen crew. Here's his menu:
Appetizer: Clams on the Halfshell with chive flowers.
Entreés (some cooked, some for the raw-food crowd): Broiled Salmon with Catnip Sauce; Chicken Casserole with garnée of edible wildflowers; Grilled or raw Kabobs of scallops and chicken.
Salad of edible wildflowers and field greens.
Desserts: Tuna Cake with catnip icing (and birthday candles for Spooky and Socks); Chef Stu's Famous Catmint Parfaits.

I'll PM you tomorrow about "24"!!!

It was a very nice day for Shadow considering the PM cycle he had....I like the way the bounce went this time around. Hope he continues. I am very happy....hope you all have a good night!
