Evening.
Shadow was more like her normal number this morning....
I had to work today but my dd and dh worked on our kitchen all day.... it is completely empty now as we decided it was time for a
"true" spring cleaning.
Before my surgery, we discovered we had these little bugs which turned out to be sawtooth beetles according to the county coop ag extension.
They are in oatmeal just like weevils are in flour and come in your house when you buy those items. (usually in a larval stage)
We had some oatmeal that is many years old and we had hatchings in one of the cannisters and they were migrating.
We were still seeing a few stragglers so we bought some special poison for them and decided to make sure they are gone asap.
So they spent 5 hours emptying the kitchen completely and the picture is my entire kitchen now in the livingroom/dining room....
I feel like one of those hoarders.
We can't even walk it's so covered with kitchen stuff.
We will probably keep the oatmeal in the freezer in the future just like we do flour. ( It keeps anything from hatching)
And if anyone know of any other critter that comes like that, please tell me.... I'll start keeping all the staples in the freezer. ;-)
