5/24 Recap:
AMPS 105 +6.5 148 +9 106
PMPS 142 +3 217

So I probably should have tested last night when I woke up to hear Neko throwing up. instead I did a quick clean up and went back to bed. So much for catching up on sleep. And when I took a look this morning at what she threw up, it was a twist tie! I hope that was all of it. First time Neko has gone after one of those. I had seen her with a small piece last night and thought she was playing with it. I took that bit away. Crazy cat!

Neko seems fine otherwise. DH is in charge as I'm on a a ferry to see my parents. He knows to keep an eye on her.

Happy Sunday everyone. It's Drizzleday here.

Hi Wendy,

Neko's looking pretty good the last couple cycles. Yikes on the pukus! We occasionally find some interesting things in pukus or poo, which is always a little frightening thinking they ate something and the only evidence shows up in barf or poo. Hopefully, the pukus twist tie was the last of it. I also understand on skipping the test. I've done that in the past too, despite a nagging little something that says, "I should test, but bed is SOOO comfy." ;-) In fact, just last night, I did a "dream" test at +8, and was surprised this AM to discover I did not actually do a test.

Hope the gray skies clear off for you!

Hi Wendy,
I hope you're having a nice time with your parents.

:o  on the twist tie!
I'm glad she puked that!

Wow, that was so lucky that it came back up - I shudder when I think of all the what ifs. I have one cat, Pepe, that had to have two exploratory surgeries because he had been eating something that got caught in his intestine and was causing havoc. Strangely enough, the second surgery was almost one year later and it was the same material that was causing the problem. I guess the vet didn't get it all since I got rid of all this type of material before the cat came home after the first surgery. Well that's great news for Neko and I hope he is more careful about what he's putting in his mouth.

You must be headed to Vancouver Island for the day - I haven't been there, maybe next trip. I hear it's gorgeous. Have a great evening and hopefully, a more restful night, Wendy. Anne

Wow on the twist tie. I'm glad she threw it back up. I hope Neko slides back down to blue. I hope you had a good visit with your parents.

+9 110
And back to nice low blues! I'm back, Neko seems fine, other than a bit of early lobbying for dinner. Trip to the island was great - I checked in on FDMB while on the ferry. I get good cell coverage on the open water. It was a relaxing visit for me. It was raining so I didn't end up using the rototiller like I'd originally planned. But I did get to snack on my first salmonberries of the season.

@Jen, Mariko, Anne, Carla, Catherine - Neko seems OK so far in spite of her twist tie episode. Just yesterday I was looking at a website with an Xray of a cat that had swallowed a needle so I was feeling a little apprehensive. A friend who knows a lot about raw food diets said that raw food will coat pointy things, so to check her poops the next couple of days. Joy!  They do eat raw bones after all. @Anne - My parents live on one of the local Gulf Islands, a much shorter ferry ride than Vancouver Island.
