Oh and Christie has been found safe and sound.

DH sent me this in an email this morning. It was Victoria in the flat style pepsi box. She was talking to me last night. I said Meow and she'd meow back. Its such an odd meow. She is a very quiet cat so it was cool to get her to talk back even if it was just twice.

oh LOVE the picture of victoria! too cute - what a sweet little look! she looks kinda proud of herself. and her belly is just begging to get scratches!

Yes, I am found. :) And the picture of Miss Victoria literally has me cackling!! So sweet!!!

Dramatic day here in KC with several small tornadoes touching down around the metro. Was pretty unexpected, especially since it was a relatively cool day. No major damage, thankfully and all is well both at the apartment and the new house. Did have to spend almost an hour in the basement at tbp with about 1000 other people, and there was a dramatic showdown between 2 colleagues and myself vs. the safety monitors over whether or not we were "allowed" to use the restroom. Excuse me, but after downing a giant Cherry Coke Zero, if armageddon is upon me, I'd like it to be on an empty bladder!! I don't know what it is about orange vests, but man... those ladies were on a wicked power trip! I finally just told them they'd have to try to physically restrain me, and that I was considering going out chasing the storms anyway. One woman's head about exploded. Especially when we pointed out that the 15 employees in our suite were instructed by our orange vested leader to stay put in the interior part of the suite with all the doors to rooms with windows closed. That went well (sarcasm), though in fairness, our safety monitor is new to his duties and I DO think he was a bit confused. It's raining again tonight, but at least it looks like the serious weather is done for now!

Hope everyone has had a great day!

Hi Christie, glad you are safe and okay. What an experience in the basement at work!

Karrie, I love that pic of Victoria in the Pepsi box; she is so precious. It looks like she is so happy and grateful to have found a home.

Glad you're ok, Christie! This weather is so weird!

Karrie, that picture of Victoria is so adorable! She's obviously surrendered herself to you guys and is ready to play with abandon. Wonderful thing to see from a shelter kitty. You always wonder what they've been through before they come to you. She drew the long straw when she got you, for sure!!! :-D

I'm btb. Not usually up this early, but did a 24-hour curve that will end in two hours--yawn. Have a great day everyone!
