Gryphen's allergy results came back, and she's not allergic to anything (obvious) in the foods she will eat. She's still iffy on the wet foods, especially the low carb/low phosphorus ones, but the YA LID is serving as a buffer right now. Still throwing up on occasion, and no known cause yet.

But, she's itchy, and the fur on her flanks is thinning from licking. Until she has her dental, we are not going to change anything, including food. But, is there a spray or anything someone can recommend that might give her some relief until I can look at a food change after the dental?

I'm hesitant to use the spray the vet recommended, since it has hydrocortisone (though she said short-term it would be fine). She also prescribed hydroxyzine; anyone know if that will affect BG numbers?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry to hear about the itching :bighug: I'm believe Elise @tiffmaxee has used Zyrtec (with vet guidance) but I can't remember the reason. Perhaps she'll stop by when she's on again and may be able to help.

I did give Mocha who has dermatitis and EGC Zyrtec and it seemed to help the dermatitis. She got 1/4 or 1/3 of a regular strength pill twice a day. I gave it to Max for a uri.

I probably should have posted this in the Health forum. Sorry! I'm so used to posting here!!
