Sgans and Eegie - GA

Member Since 2015
Ate a little bit on his own this morning, but he's done that before. We'll see rest of the day. At shot, he got his probiotic Kefir and added probiotics and bone broth along with his additional meds. He'll either eat his raw food or get syringe fed it much of the day... Fingers crossed he'll have some interest on his own.

Come on down Eegie, how about some blue today? You do so much for him Stephanie, preparing all that food. Definitely a labor of love. I hope he purrs for you again today.

He still didn't eat on his own, but willingly (as much as possible) accepted raw via syringe, and his probiotic mix. He swallowed well and has kept it down. I can't figure why he won't actively eat it.
His energy is still low - but 2 days ago, he was pissing where he lay, today, he's walking to pads and moving away quickly (not sitting in it as he had), and his poops are small very very wet, but again, he's staying clean today. Even TRIED to poop in the box. Hopefully, the energy'll increase as he gets more good food - even if I have to keep syringing him until the affects of the covenia wear off...

Great to hear that even though he's still not eating great, he seems to be feeling better!!

Keep doing what you're doing and hopefully he'll start nibbling on his own again soon

Thanks @Chris & China - he does seem inspired in the morning, when he's particularly hungry. And he seems to respond better to my bf feeding him than me. Eegie loves me to death, but I'm now also his torturer with all the tests and shots and meds (bf does some meds, but I keep it limited - that's not his strength). But, after a small munch early in the morning, he just shows no interest mid-day. I'm hoping the nutrition of his raw and the bone broth (along with his supplements) will get him EVENTUALLY past all this, and he'll eat again. I love seeing him doing more active moving (not exactly athletics, but getting around).

His balance seems off - I can't see anemia on his gums (they're always grey - so paleness doesn't show), but I know that's a sign of anemia - but it wasn't there when the vet saw him last week. Of course, that could ALSO be a side-effect of the covenia... dizziness. He gets balanced after a few steps, but his start is wonky. I WISH I knew better than to let him get that damned shot!!!
