5/23 RECAP:
• AMPS~228, fed 3/4oz., 3 drops
• AM +9~166, fed 1/4oz.
• PMPS~163, fed 3/4oz., 3 drops
• +1 , fed 3/4oz.
• +3~264, fed 1/2oz.
• +6~285, fed 1/2oz.
• +9~270, fed 1/4oz.

Good Morning LL! AMPS was 324 Ugh! and now +3 is 358 double Ugh!! Either the Lantus hasn't kicked in or just isn't working. The first 3 cycles looked good, but it could have been the shed action. :sad: I don't understand why Tess actually went lower for a couple of cycles though. Do you think we need to go back up or give it a little more time? If up, to what?

WCR Active, alert and hungry this am. All Ps accounted for.

Ann...put "Dose increase???" in your subject line so someone will see that and know you have a question. Come on down from there Tess!! You had such pretty numbers in blue....you can do that again!!

Hi Tess,

A couple of things.... some of them housekeeping.

- yeah this pink ain't pretty and since last green it has progressively increased. I would be tempted to take the dose back up to 0.25U; however.... let's see what others have to say.
- Also... if my memory serves me right, you had to monkey around the shot times at some point, are you back to 12/12 now?
- And.... for top clarity ;-) , could you pick a number for a dose - it's not always obvious to know if 3 drops is more or less than 0.25U, kwim? No one will be sending the dose police to verify that 0.2 is 'actually' what you are giving Tess... however in a SS, it's more clear.

Hopefully we get Tess surfing the blues soon!

It might be in part due to a food spike, DH found her at the leftover food sbout half an hour before the test. Still she hasn't been in red since DX.

Helene, yes we did have to move her schedule on the weekend. Over 2 cycles we moved half an hour earlier (15 min each time) and then over 3 cycles moved her back to where she was (15 minutes, no change and 15 minutes).

I agree with Helene.

Also, it may not hurt to open a new pen. It's been over 28 days and just in case the insulin is the issue, it's something that's easily ruled out.

It looks like you started the 3 drops as a result of a BCS dose vs. an earned decrease. I'm thinking that Tess doesn't like this dose. If this were my cat, I'd bring her back to the last good dose.
 
I'm going to go back with the .25u dose, per advice. It looks like the +9 may have been a food spike, but I still don't know why she has her lowest test of the day at preshot.

Sienne, although the 3 drops started w/ a BCS she also had an early shot (acts as increase) and her numbers were the best in days. That's why I stayed with the 3 drop dose.
 
it *could* be a high before a break, especially since it already came down a lot, but I would probably still increase, the overall trend is upward and we want to stop that.
