I got home late last night. Sly finally looked like he was feeling better. Talked to the shelter manager Saturday morning because Jason said Sly had just stopped eating, we stopped his Clavamox completely (I'm not even sure why he's on it, nothing in his workup indicated infection and the flagyl would target stomach infections if that was the source of his puking). This morning he was at my feet as usually telling me to hurry up with his breakfast and that was a relief.

He has refused to try any foods other than Wellness, including the vet's D/D and Nature's Variety Chicken. Trying new food when he is feeling sick doesn't really work so we stopped trying.

I came in late last night with these guys and their mommy in tow. My brother moved a chunk of wood on his farm and found them. He caught mommy too and they all went into a foster home today :joyful: The whole family is cute and sweet.

Such a sweet pic of that lucky family!
I don't think any of the cats like Clavamox!

Nice numbers for Sly. I hope he feels better soon. I agree that you shouldn't try new foods if he's not feeling well. Wellness is good, and it is higher in calories than a lot of foods (Rusty is a picky eater and needs calories, so I'm glad he likes Wellness Chicken and Wellness Turkey. He also likes Wellness Core Turkey & Duck.)

Have a good evening. How great that your brother was able to sweep up the kittens and their mama, too.

Awwww...they are so adorable!! Great that your brother was able to catch mom too and they're all safe now!

I think you're right about the Clavamox too....with no proof of infection (or that clavamox is even the correct AB if there is) there's sure no need to be giving it!

Happy that Sly is eating again!!

I'm glad to hear Sly is feeling better. I don't get why vets prescribe unnecessary ABs. All it does is contribute to AB resistant bacteria.

Cute babies! Lucky mama and babies to get rescued and into a foster home. What a surprise for your brother. :joyful: I'm glad Sly is feeling better.
