Good Morning, Everyone,

Wishing everyone a good holiday weekend and sending vines to all in need of some.

Rusty had a good night and another before-dawn spurt of energy. This time he charged downstairs, used his litterbox there, and then attacked his Brawny Cat lounger/scratcher. He came back upstairs, jumped on the bed, and meowed. What a cat! This morning we opened a new cartridge of Levemir. The old one was virtually empty. He also got a weighing: 16 lbs., 5 oz. This is an excellent weight for him.

My sister will arrive in time for lunch. The weather is improving (it rained all day yesterday). Tomorrow it is supposed to get much warmer. That will bring the blackflies out, so I hope she remembers to bring her head net. We will walk around the village this afternoon, do an easy paddle tomorrow (some friends will join us), and then do the more challenging paddle on Memorial Day. This will be followed by the traditional Memorial Day picnic. So we have a busy weekend planned and I don't think I will be around on the board very much--basically just to post Rusty's numbers. Today is our 45th wedding anniversary. We were married in my aunt's house in Brooklyn. It was HOT (95 degrees). It is 54 degrees here this morning.

YAY! It is memorial day weekend and you are off to have your traditional paddle. I alwyas enjoyed reading about this one. I love the fact that your sister still comes and still paddles with you. Somehow that is very cool. Enjoy the village walk today - sounds like fun.

I love it when our kitties have those bursts of energy. It is so fun to watch.

Can you have NDW when you open a new pen?? What a whacky day for Rusty! But he enjoyed himself. He got Canidae at lunch time as an anniversary treat and gobbled it up. From that point it was up and up. Tonight he had another great post-litterbox energy exhibition. And this afternoon he spent sleeping in his little bed in my study. He enjoyed sitting with us for the "happy hour", and enjoyed sitting on the couch watching a film and nibbling at his dinner.

My sister arrived in midday and we all had a nice walk this afternoon. Weather does not look good for paddling tomorrow. We will probably cancel: thunderstorms and high wind gusts. My sister hasn't paddled since Columbus Day, so we don't want to make the first paddle an ordeal. Better she should save her muscles for the Monday paddle.

Sorry for the late post. Happy Anniversary - 45 years is so cool. Have a great visit with your sister. I hope the forecast is wrong, it often is here.

I think if the new pen is more potent you could get a type of NDW. I hope Rusty gets back to his normal flatness soon.

Happy Anniversary!!! 45 years!! That is wonderful and I hope you and Edward had a great day (and your sister brought the black fly netting).

I'm glad Rusty finally likes his Sleeky lounger. T&G refuse to use their smurgle muffins. :evil: Tobey would like to come see you and bring special cimmamum graham cracker yummies for you and your sister.
