Good Morning Lantus Land.

Guinness is at 420 this am...that is a 420 I DON'T want to see!

I elected not to shoot his +5 of 334 last night with R because I didn't know if he was still falling or how low he might go without me being awake to catch it. (Harley's recent story has gotten me a little gun-shy). I did shoot his 420 with .25u of R and will get a +2.5 before I run off to work. I will test again at +10 and might decide to shoot R again at that time depending on his numbers.

Waiting for my vet to go over some of the links and info I sent her and then hopefully she will call me soon with some dates for some tests.

That was kind of a big fall for 2.5 hours! Hopefully, he won't drop too much while I am not here. That R stuff sure makes a huge difference!

That was a bit drop!! But isn't R short-lived, so it won't stay around much longer, right? Hopefully, the Lantus will kick in now and do what it's supposed to do!!!

Good afternoon Linda, that was some dive he took huh.. You know some times i can give Tommy .25 and he'll come down at a nice slow rate or not at all and other times, just like what Guinness did today.. Good luck with the vet call, I hope it comes soon..
I didn't know if Patty had the answer already but yes R is usually out of the system after 4hours or so, Just FYI!! Look at that i was actually able to answer a question this time rather than being the one who's always asking :-D

Good evening Lantus Land!

Took a +10 reading when I got home from work and found Guinness was at 302, so I decided to give him .1uR and retested at (+2R/PMPS) and got 293. Hoping the R will give his 7u of Lantus a little help tonight (but not too much help!). I will be back from work at +4.5 to retest and will test again at +6 and possibly give more R at that time.

No word from the vet yet. Hoping by the end of the week she will have had time to study the links I sent her and make some decisions about his tests going forward.

Hi Linda, and Guinness too of course,

Looks like Guinness had a good day with the R, you are doing such a good job with him.

Hopefully your vet calls you back soon. I am the most impatient person and will call and call until my vet calls me back, lol i must be so annoying....but Leo's my baby!!! Maybe you should be a pest too? What if she does't agree to do the tests?
