Looks like we are stuck in the yellow log jam again, R not having much effect on her numbers lately, or maybe they are keeping her flat, don't know, either way not getting to blues for a while. Have a busy day with friends coming this afternoon for a BBQ, when Crystal will be in hiding no doubt, but need to do something a bit more dramatic, either upping the R yet again or taking the Lev up - threat issued for tomorrow Crystal.

I would definitely increase. 20% of the lev or at least a full unit of R. She's not winning against the resistance... have to get in front of that train.

OK Crystal - you heard the bean, better start working that juice! Good luck with the increase Suki - if the threat doesn't take care of it. Unfortunately dosecrease threats don't work as well with IAA cats until that particular resistance is broken.

Enjoy the BBQ - no holiday weekend here in Canada, Memorial Day is strictly a US thing.

Yes. Before the SRT one of my goals with Polly was to keep ahead of the resistance. Numbers creep....up we'd go. I never used R, but followed that advice with Miss P's dosing. Did not want to get behind the numbers.

Thanks Peg, Lu-Ann, Wendy and Marilyn for your support and input. Not been a good cycle for Crystal, first of all she went into hiding when friends arrived so was a bit late with PMPS, then she didn't want the raw food mix and nothing I could do would make her eat it, so gave in and let her have a couple of mouthfulls of normal Felix, which I suppose is relatively HC, she loved it of course. So numbers are up but with lots of people around it was difficult to spend time with her coaxing her to eat. I gave her 3.0u of R at PMPS but you wouldn't know it from her figures ....... tomorrow is another day and we will start afresh. I definately think I'll increase both the Lev, perhaps by 3.0u to 55.u and take the R up as well, see what that brings. Sorry, haven't had time to visit any condos, now doing a mountain of washing up and clearing away but hope to catch up with the news sometime tomorrow.

Friends who came this afternoon had just had their dog put to sleep this morning after a long illness and old age, so they were understandably very upset , plus the other friends are the ones with the missing cat, presumed GA ...... hope there isn't a third tradegy in the offering as these things tend to go in 3's ...... paws crossed (anitjinx).

Off to visit a dear friend tomorrow morning who had a heart attack last week .... all good news this end

Oh dear, those poor people at your place.....with a cat missing and a dog put to sleep....how sad. Big hugs to them all, they must be hurting
I agree it is hard to do what you have to do with diabetic cats when there are guests around. And things always go pear shaped when they are there I find, no matter how organised you are. Hope things settle down soon

@Bron and Sheba Thanks Bron for your kind words, and yes, it's always difficult to look after Crystal when there are visitors around, she only really trusts me and DH, despite all our friends being cat lovers.

Her AMPS was 218 but I've put off the dose increase until tonight as we are out late morning visiting a friend for coffee but, knowing their hospitality, they could well expect us to stay for lunch and, as they are French, that could be a long affair. So, best to err on the side of caution so Crystal just got 3u R and her normal Lev. Tonight's the night though for an increase.
