Yesterday's Condo

We started out with a little bit of a bounce, and he cleared it pretty quickly. NDW? We are going out tonight after shot time, so I'm hoping he will have another little bouncette. Please? Just a little one. High blues or low yellows would do, Cinco, then surf blue tonight. You are absolutely forbidden to talk to China today, by the way.

Sasha is doing okay. She's still sneezing, and the benedryl didn't seem to help much last night. I gave her a smidgen bigger dose today, but she's still sneezing. Maybe I'll try Zyrtec again tonight. I'm not sure what she's reacting to. Maybe I need to dust my bedroom? (Okay, yes it needs dusting, but I mean maybe that would help. ). I took the shirt off and gave her a good brushing a little while ago. I let her do a little bathing, but she kept going back to the incision, so the shirt went back on.

Sending healing vines to all in need, and hugs to all their beans. Thanks again to everyone that has reached out with vines, prayers and support. I'm looking forward to chatting with Jamie and learning more about Jupiter's journey.

Very nice numbers today for Cinco!

Way to clear a bounce! (now see? Not everything China's taught him is bad....LOL)

Zyrtec huh? How much do you give? I'm looking for something to give China that works better than the Chlor Trimeton but doesn't have her eating everything in sight like the Cypro does

Come on Cinco...if you and China are going to continue talking, we've got to reach an understanding, understand?

Nice numbers for Cinco today. I hope he surfs safely tonight so you can go out. Sending prayers for Sasha. I hope you can find something to help with the sneezing. The third dose of Zyrtec helped Furball.

Very nice cycle today, Cinco. Let your beans go out for a little fun tonight, they won't be gone long. I'm glad the shirt is working for Sasha, much better than a cone of shame. :-D

Nice little dip in the lagoon today. Paws crossed Cinco takes it easy on you and lets the beans have fun tonight. Any lagoon dips are scheduled for later, like the +6 one today. Have fun tonight Tricia.

Still sending lots of vines for you for Sasha. I'm glad Jamie popped in yesterday. When Jupiter was going through his operation I was reminded of a cat I met last year. His name is Chance and he was at a vet clinic where I was taking a friends dog for acupuncture. Chance still comes around and greets everyone. Cats can be such resilient creatures. It is so good the T-shirt is enough to stop Sasha from going after the incision.

Hopefully your Cinco will stay in nice safe numbers for you this evening! Continued prayers for all of you and thank you for the update on Sasha. I hope her sneeziness resolves itself - I know you are in CA, but up here in Washington the allergy season is upon us full force. Luckily my Tiger doesn't have allergies but her human sure does and I have the red eyes and sneezes to prove it @-)

Cinco has been having lots of nice numbers lately! :-D :-D

Poor little Sasha that she has the sneezes on top of everything else. Sending prayers that she will not have to have an amputation ....but I was really amazed at how well Jupiter adapted with time. Linda (Bear Mans) Pinkerton also had an amputation and has done fantastic.

Hope you got out tonight to do something fun!

Thanks for the visits, Carla, Liz, Wendy, Ruth and Marje.

Cinco's PMPS made me feel comfortable leaving, but I did dig up Otto and load some snacks for +3 and +6, just in case. He didn't eat the +3 - maybe because the auto feeder hasn't been used since his surgery and was in a different room before. He obviously figured it out at +6, though. He was still interested in fuds when we got home at +7, so he got some. I can't help but wonder if he went lower than that 113, but of course there is no way to know. He often nadirs late, but then sometimes he doesn't, like last night! The only thing predictable about him is that he will surprise us!  I am really happy with his numbers on this dose and wonder just how long he will be staying at it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have them shoot 1.0 next weekend when we board him, for safety's sake, so we may throw everything out of whack again, but at least I know he rebounds pretty quickly, so I'm not too worried about it.

Wendy, I was happy to hear from Jamie, too. She's also pm'd me a couple of times, and sent me links to some videos. I remember seeing the one with the pink worm the first time she posted it. She is being very generous with her offers of help and support and I may be taking her up on it. Her story is helpful, but there is one big difference: Jupiter lost a rear leg. Sasha's is her right front, plus Sasha has that congenital deformity in her back legs that is going to add challenges to her situation. I have a close friend (actually, she's my cat sitter) that has a kitty that had to have a rear leg amputated, so I've seen how resilient they can be first hand. I would really like to find someone whose kitty lost a front leg, though, to see how they coped. There's plenty of time for that, of course. Meanwhile I would love to get her sneezing under control without another vet visit and more ABs and Pred! I just gave her about 3mg of Zyrtec and we'll see what that does. I imagine it is allergies, as I've been sneezing and Minka is coughing more. It's been really windy here lately. Allerplex doesn't seem to help either of them.

Marje, I'm not familiar with Linda and Bear Man's story, although I think I've seen her post on others' condos. Do you know if that was a front or rear leg? I'll have to see if I can find out more about it.

I am always wound up when we get home late, while Mark goes straight to bed and konks right out (good thing, since he's the shooter and 6:30 comes early!). I'm just going to watch the news and then I think I'll be able to sleep. Nite nite!

Cinco is looking awesome! Yay on him finding Otto, too! Trix never took to the autofeeder, even though back when I tried using it she LOVED to eat.

Pinkerton is also missing a rear leg. I wonder if there is something along the lines of a "Tripod Kitty" Yahoo group that you could join?? There seems to be a group for everything, so you never know!

I hope you got some sleep!!

Thanks, Amy. I'm still up! Almost done, though. I found a video online of a three-legged cat that was missing it's left front leg. It was much younger than Sasha, but it did very well. I may put it in my 5/25 condo.

I'm off to bed now. Have a great Sunday!
