Yesterday's Condo

We had our first green AMPS this year!!!!!!! DH woke me up at 0-dark-thirty to let me know. So I set an alarm for +2 and stumbled down to check him. Huge letdown. Stumbled back upstairs to bed and just after I fell asleep DH called to find out how Cinco was! :banghead: He did make a cameo in the lagoon, just carrying out the duties assigned to him by LagoonMeister Rusty. Now he's napping on shore.

I did not see any more tufts of fur this morning, and the skin on his hot spot was a nice healthy pink, not red and angry, so we're leaving the soft collar on him for now. It does frustrate and confuse him when he's trying to get up on the sofa, as he steps on it. I've tried to fold the bottom up out of the way, but it shifts around so much that's only a one-time solution. I did try the treatment @Marje and Gracie recommended, as I had the ingredients on hand. I was amazed that he didn't flinch or try to swat me away, so it must have felt good. I'd do it a few more times today. If we can speed up the healing process, I'm all in.

Minka refused breakfast, so I gave her some Cypro right away. A couple of hours later her breakfast plate was empty. She, Harvey and Sasha just got some crumbs of tri-tip after DH sliced up the meat left over from last night's dinner for sandwiches. Happy campers, all. Cinco was asleep and it was late enough in his cycle that I opted not to give him any. Shsssssssssh! Don't tell him!

Sasha's appy is back to Pred-inspired excellent. She's really sold on the FD salmon crushed on top. I think sometimes she stops eating half way through on purpose so I'll add that. Still congested and still looks to be in some pain. I need to call the vet before they close.

Harvey did not like this morning's offering, EVO 95% Chicken & Turkey. Even with FD on top. He seemed a little off, so I gave him some Ondansetron, but about 15 minutes later he was under my feet begging for some of the FF Salmon I was giving Cinco. So I caved. Looks like he's had a bite or two of his original breakfast, but is still pretty much ignoring it. Just being finicky. No worries about his weight, so let him be difficult.

Fabulous day if you're a race fan! Just watched the exciting finish to the Indy 500, and now we're running around getting things done so we can watch the NASCAR Coca Cola 600. @Marje and Gracie, we have a package of baby back ribs ready to go on the grill, which will be served with roasted potatoes, corn on the cob and salad. Mmmmm. I sure hope it's a good race!

Gotta go scoop the boxes and do a couple of other things before the green flag. I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans, especially Carla & Callie, Deanna & Billie, and Georgia & Simon. :bighug: Special prayers for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, DH and DGD, Marje's DM, Chris' DM and Elise's DM.

Is Ok, Cinco. I knows you want to listen to the race w/ your beans! I'm on duty now! -- Tess, Assistant LagoonMeister

Sounds like you have a great holiday weekend planned. Have fun, scritches and soothing tummy vines to all the kittehs!

Cinco, Max and Neko are all 107 at +6 today. Hmmm. Wonder what they've got planned next?

Natural, non medicated appy vines going your way. Good news on Cinco's hot spot.

Enjoy the race and the rest of the weekend. Neko wants to come visiting if there is any more tri tip.

Sniff sniff....Hey Cinco...how come you smell like salad?? Must be the vinegar~ China (tee hee)

Hope the home remedy's help with Cinco's hotspot! I've never heard of using vinegar, but hey, it's worth a try! Maybe if you mix vinegar and coconut oil? Nahhhh, then you'd really smell like a salad!

Enjoy the race Tricia...and hopefully Cinco will be a good kitty and surf the rest of the night in nice safe numbers. You sure have had a crazy week! You deserve a quiet night off!

Glad to hear that Cinco's hot spot looks a little better. Apple cider vinegar is wonderful for all kinds of things with humans so I guess it applies to kitties, too! You sound like you have lots of things happening today. Enjoy the race and the BBQ!

Thank you for the healing vines for Simon. He really needs them.

I'm glad Cinco's hot spot looks better. I hope it heals quickly. I hope the girls will continue to eat for you and Sasha feels better soon. Enjoy the race.

Splish splash goes Cinco!

Glad to hear everyone seems to be doing pretty darn well! Dinner sounds great, what time should I be there?

Thanks for visiting, Ann, Wendy, Chris, Georgia, Carla and Molly.

Bit of a lull in the middle of the race, so I can visit for a few minutes.

@Wendy&Neko, tell Neko come on over! We got the two pack at Costco, so there's lots of tri tip. We'll be eating sandwiches all week!

@Molly, the ribs will be ready in about two hours. Can you get here by then?:joyful:

The girls, between them, have polished off two jars of baby food (with a little help from Harvey. Cinco even got a small taste)

@Chris & China, I just gave Cinco his second treatment. I could see his nose twitching. I don't think he was too sure about it, but he let me put it on. Paws crossed!

Just made some wine-a-ritas. Drank mine too fast and now I have a brain freeze! OW! :blackeye:

Cinco is looking great....more appy and healing vines for the girls. And I hope you are already at the end of this hotspot...poor Cinco....

Just made some wine-a-ritas. Drank mine too fast and now I have a brain freeze! OW! :blackeye:

I need this recipe, especially now that it seems like warm weather has set in here (even though the heat actually did kick on this morning :eek:!!)

Have a great evening, Tricia!

smelling like a salad :p

I guess I need to go look up Bellini .... I've been seeing several different versions around lately....

vines for that hot spot to heal faster....

Glad the treatment is working and sorry I'm a day behind.

Yum on the race dinner....that sounds so good and I bet it was. Unfortunately, we've both caught bad colds and neither of us felt like grilling or eating so we laid on the couch and watched both races. It was actually a "cool" day in Tucson so I even had my blankie out. Yes...it was....uh...in the 70s.:rolleyes:

We're feeling better today so we'll have our BBQ today instead.
